Seperation is something she's come to know, the agonizing isolation that came with it a constant reminder of her loneliness.
There was a camp, one she used to call home — small, but hospitable. Tragedy seemed farfetched for such a small community, until it took less than five minutes to tear it from the outside, tore her from her brother's arms. He made an empty promise of returning, before leaving her in safety, his jacket draped over her arms and his knife held between her knuckles.
He never came back. So she went looking, and she hasn't stopped, not really.
