For the past few weeks A schedule had pretty much been set up every other weekend on Saturdays the kids would go to Fitz and Mellie's house. Ray would also get some studying time in with Fitz on Saturday and during the week he would stay back a few days. Ray's grade were really starting to improve and Olivia couldn't be prouder of him.

It was Thursday night Liv set up on the couch watching news. One of her best friends also her kids' uncle set next to her also watching the news. On the table was some wine, whiskey and popcorn.

Huck: So the dude that brought us coffee. Is it something there between you two?
O: He's married, Huck.

Huck: That wasn't what I asked you.
O: We both see it's something going on between us, but we don't speak on it. I refuse to break a home up.

Huck: Well what do you see in him, that attracts you to him?
O: He's very good looking. He's kind, caring, a great father. He's funny. I feel like I can tell him anything.

Huck pulled his friend in for a hug. The rest of the night they drank, had popcorn and watched the news.

It was around 7:45 when Olivia's kid had come running down the stairs. They were all excited to see their uncle Huck.

H: I'll get them to school and go check to see what new work we have at the office. You get some sleep.

The kids said their goodbyes to their mom, before excitedly leaving the house.

It was Friday afternoon. Fitz was teaching his last block of the day. They had maybe 15 minutes left until the bell rang, but Fitz allowed them a free Friday to chill and catch up on any other work. He was just catching up on grades when his phone went off. The text was from Olivia.

[TEXT MESSAGE OLVIA: I was thinking we switch things up and have dinner at my house with the kids you and Mellie. Just a suggestion?]

A smile formed on Fitz face as he responded.

[TEXT MESSAGE FITZ: It'll only be the kids and I thins week, Mellie has a conference in Florida this week.]

[TEXT MESSAGE OLIVIA: Well it looks like we'll have to have another dinner at my house when Mellie returns.]

Fitz could care less about if Mellie was there or not, but at the end of the day, Mellie was still very much his wife:

It was around noon on Saturday and Fitz had dropped his wife off at the airport. Now his kids and him were headed to Olivia's house. He made a quick stop at a grocery store and bakery.

He pulled into Olivia's driveway. Olivia and her kids greeted Fitz and his kids excitedly this was the kids first time in Olivia's house and they were shocked at just how big and nice the house was.

The kids took off around the house leaving Olivia and Fitz standing there.

O: I can give you a mini tour if you'd like?

Fitz nodded his head. They walked into the family room. On the wall there was a big family portrait. He recognized the man in the picture.

F: Is that your husband?
O: Yep, Senior Chief Petty Officer Jake Ballard.

F: I know him, we were in the Navy together. Bunk Mates and everything. You could often find us getting in trouble together.
O: Navy buddies.

F: Yeah, he was a great guy.

At this point Olivia and Fitz had made their way around to the kitchen.

O: I miss him. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever be happy with someone like that again

Fitz pulled in Olivia for a hug.

F: Well i didn't know it before but he talked about you and Ray all the time. He talked so highly of you two. He'd never say y'all names it was always my girl and my son. I'm assuming the twins weren't around yet. But he loved you guys so much.

Olivia wiped her eyes.

O: I'm think I'm going to order the pizza later on, so maybe I'll start some lunch for the kids.
F: Cool I'll help.

Olivia had needed to grab a plate from a higher cabinet. Usually Ray would help her grab stuff from the higher cabinets but him and Jeremy were occupied playing basketball.

F: I got you.

Fitz stood behind Olivia. Only a centimeter of space between them. He reached above her and grabbed the plates she was trying to get to. He placed them on the counter. Fitz stood behind her. Both of their breathing sped up. Neither one of them knowing what to do next but neither one of them wanting the moment to end.

Fitz eventually moved back.

They started making lunch for the kids but with very little conversation. Them now both knowing it was something between the two that could not be denied.

It was around 8pm and the pizza has just arrived.

Ray: Mom can we eat pizza and watch a movie?

O: Sounds good to me

The kids were excited they all raced down the stairs.

F: Where are they headed?
O: I guess they have chosen the Mini Movie Theater instead of the family room.

F: Man this house just keeps surprising me.
O: I'll have to give you the full tour one of these days.

O: Well I guess we should get this pizza to them?
F: I have some snacks in my truck. I'll go grab'em real quick.

The kids decided on Sing even though they'd all seen it before it had been awhile. The kids set scattered around the movie theater room and Fitz and Olivia set up front on the very spacious couch.

The darkened room, pizza, snacks, and drinks made for the perfect movie/cuddle session.

As the movie played along Fitz and Olivia became closer and closer together. By the end of the movie Olivia had rested her head on Fitz's shoulder and Fitz had rested his hand on Olivia's thigh. Neither of them had any further advances with one another, but the question that lay on both of their minds was who's going to make the next move.

When the movie ended the kids were all knocked out over the Theater Room. Fitz and Olivia admired the sites of their blended families together.

O: They can crash here. It'll be a mini family sleepover.
F: Sounds good with me.

O: You can crash in one of the guess rooms.
F: If you don't mind me asking, how many rooms is this place.

O: A little story Jake and I always said we'd have a lot of kids and a normal home wouldn't fit us in it, so what do we do. up and build a house with 14 bedrooms 6 on the top floor 5 on the middle floor and 3 on the basement level. And the first floor as you can tell kitchen, living and family room and all those other little rooms.

F: y'all had big amazing dreams and it all came together.
O: yea it feels like a dream that became a little bit of a nightmare when he died.

It was silent for awhile. Fitz looked into her eyes. They were filled with sadness and anger.

F: let's go get some sleep. You need to rest.

Fitz walked with Olivia up to the second floor. They really had 3 levels and a basement which could be considered the 4th level. The house was nice.

Olivia walked to one of the guess rooms.

O: I'll be in this room you can take the room next to me. Covers and pillows are already there.

Fitz opened his arms for a hug. Olivia didn't waste any time allowing herself to be taken in by his embrace. It felt right. If felt nice. In that moment she felt that everything was going to be alright that's just what he did to her.
