CHAPTER 1.0

The woman leaned against the window and turned back to smile at him. She has a gentle face, when she smiles a slight dimple will show. She always wears her hair up and steps barefoot on the floor regardless how cold it is. She wore a simple cheongsam-style tailored cloth, fabric made up of cotton, slightly wide on her petite body, revealing half of her snow-white neck from the collar. Outside the window are the blooming plum blossoms.

Xiao Teng couldn't help calling out to her, but his lips couldn't open and his throat was dry.

"Ling..."

Aunt Ling. He would never call her that. He was afraid that it would make a difference. But he wished they were so distant that they didn't even have such a faint blood relationship.

There are so many people in the world who doesn't not follow worldly etiquette, why can't he and she?

He didn't understand.

After so many years, it is impossible for him to let go.

He later married the youngest daughter of the Tong family, a brazen and avant-garde woman, precocious, and beautiful. Whether he liked it or not, the days of his life went on like that, and soon, they had a son and three daughters.

This at least proves that he is a qualified husband in some aspects.

But his wife eloped with someone else at an age when any woman should settle down.

There is only one sentence she left, saying that she can't stand him.

What can she not bear from him? He provided her with fur clothings, diamonds, luxury cars, and she would never compare herself to any woman at a party. The servants and butlers served her, and there were bodyguards in and out. She could shop by card without restrictions, hold frequent theme parties, and use their home. He didn't even frown when they used the helicopter to hold an air party.

What is she dissatisfied with?

The same goes for his children. He picks the best for them, sends them to the best schools, hires the best private teachers, the best toys, the best pets... But they are not necessarily cordial to him. Although they're polite and respectful, they are always distant, and their attitude is lukewarm towards him.

Even Xiao Xuan. His own younger brother, whom he loves so much, turned against him for a person who is as insignificant as an ant.

The only person who has been warm towards him for a long time in his life is that woman. But she also abandoned him without hesitation.

Is he really that bad?

Xiao Teng woke up with a strange pain all over his body. In addition to the hangover headache, there was another strange discomfort on his body. This feeling is too strange, as rigid as he can't help but to frown, and then retort to open his eyes.

The ornate ceiling of the hotel suite came into his field of view, and Xiao Teng groaned unconsciously. He came all the way to talk about business, and the hotel and pick-up were arranged by the other party. Nevertheless, the other party act's as a host quite fairly. At least he is not dissatisfied with his stay. He soaked in the hot spring in the hotel at night, had a massage, stretched for a bit, and then went to the bar to drink to his heart's content.

What's with the unfathomable mysterious discomfort on his body now?

Xiao Teng frowned, propped his forehead with one hand, and stood up reluctantly. When he saw the situation around him clearly, his pupils suddenly enlarged.

There is another person's face sticking out from the quilt in the large room.

A young and handsome... man.

This guy who came from nowhere had an innocent and sweet face, and slept on his side with his face facing him.

Xiao Teng, who hadn't shared bed with others for many years, suddenly felt like he had been hit by lightning. It took him a minute to calm down and put on his clothes while gnashing his teeth.

When he got up and went out, he realized that this was not his room, Xiao Teng noted down the room number, returned to his own room, and then summoned his negligent secretary.

"Where did you go last night?"

The old secretary and butler who worked for the Xiao family longer than Xiao Teng did was a little terrified, "Master wanted to drink alone, so I returned to my room first. It's safe here, so I..."

"Forget it," Xiao Teng tried hard to keep himself seated on the sofa, but still felt irritable, and gave him the room number he had written down, "The guest in this room, no matter who he is, whatever method to use, dispose of him. On point."

His secretary went out, Xiao Teng sat and panted for a while, then raised his hand and overturned the vase on the coffee table to the ground. Originally, it was to vent his anger, and yet when the vase fell on the thick carpet not only unscathed, there was almost no sound. Instead, he nearly pulled a tendon on his lower back because of the excessive use of force, and even almost lost his consciousness, he was close to faint from anger.

Xiao Teng could be considered as a person who has experienced a lot of setbacks, and he has the ability to deal with all kinds of accidents, and because of this ability he survives in the business world. But the unexpected accident this time was too challenging for his nerves.

Instead of using Young Master, I will just use Master to refer to Xiao Teng because I think it's much more fitting his status. Since in the other book (Going With The Wind) the butlers call Xiao Xuan Young Master so.. yeah.
