The connection between Yumeno (Q) and Chuuya

I made a seperate part for this since I wrote down a lot (for my circumstances)

Every single thing that is a Stormbringer spoiler is written in italic writing:

like this

What is shown?

Anime/Manga

- Barely any scenes of them interacting
- Chuuya claims he wants Dazai to kill Yumeno (Guild Arc)
-> however he ends up carrying Yumeno all the time later
-> seen acting "gentle"
-> cares about Yumeno?

Official arts

- Chuuya carries Yumeno, takes them outside in general (considering fact that Dazai locked them up)
-> Chuuya frees them
- Seen taking them piggyback ride for example

Wan(idk much about it since I haven't read it. This is just what I saw)

- Chuuya deals with their childish tantrums

What connects the two of them?

Yumeno is being misunderstood A LOT->
- Chuuya understands/wants to help
- Yumeno (might) feel like they are a monster due to their ability
-> don't actually want to harm anyone
- Chuuya felt in-human or like a monster in the past due to Arahabaki and no clear past + possibility of him being a clone of himself
-> has good intentions: helping sheep as leader, doesn't want to be called the "king" of the sheep, wants to keep Yokohama's citizens protected (during guild arc), wants to save Shirase from Verlaine during Stormbringer and doesn't dodge the vase Shirase throws at him
- Yumeno is being locked inChuuya was locked in the lab
-> understands how Yumeno feels, perhaps wants to play the role Verlaine and Rimbaud played when they rescued Chuuya from the lab

I got those ideas as I listened to Yumeno's theme song:

Yumeno's theme song

- Dissonant melody-> sounds creepy
- Later on screeching can be heard-> Yumeno's doll
- Near the end a noise like burning flames can be heard
- Screeching gets louder at first, but then quieter again
- Screeching changes how loud it is in waves

It suits Yumeno very well since their ability can be heard and adding onto that the screeching can also be interpreted as Yumeno's own voice crying for help, but being misunderstood-> burning flames

Another possible interpretation:

- Flames in the end: Arahabaki's black flames(Chuuya)
- Screeching gets quieter at times since Chuuya attempts to comfort Yumeno and cares about them

Connection to Chuuya's theme song

Person singing/rapping: Chuuya and partly also Arahabaki-> tone of the song rather hopeful and built up self confidence

Something noticable when comparing both theme songs:

Yumeno's theme song doesn't have any voices aside from the screeching while Chuuya's has exactly that: a clear voice speaking Chuuya's mind

Why does Chuuya care aside from relating and why did he consider killing them?

Chuuya understands that Yumeno is being misunderstood and wants to help however:
- Chuuya can contain Arahabaki within himself most of the time and have it be a part of him (aside from Corruption)
- Yumeno on the other hand seemingly struggles with containing the doll -> similar feelings to Chuuya when he uses Corruption
- The doll "steals" Yumeno's voice -> only screeching from the doll can be heard when Yumeno attempts to call for help
- Chuuya understands, but knows he can't help aside from at least mentally assisting Yumeno
- He understands Yumeno's suffering it reminds him of different pains he felt throughout his life, one of them being him getting tortured in the lab while being drugged in stormbringer
-> just like how chuuya was chained to the wall(?) and tortured in Stormbringer
-> Yumeno held by Steinbeck's ability
- The pain Chuuya felt in Stormbringer during torture described as such an immense pain tortured person would wish to never have been born
-Since Chuuya understood Yumeno does not want to harm anyone, but was getting tortured in such a way he believed Yumeno wanted to die and believed it would be better to free Yumeno from that suffering by killing them rather than taking them back to the PM just to get them locked up and making them suffer more.
