Chapter 2
One the best things about having Zoe as my best friend, well, I'd probably die of a heart attack at a very young age.
"Why didn't you text me back? I texted you so many times!" she said, narrowing her brown eyes.
"Hi! Its nice to meet you too. Where are your manners?" I replied smiling sweetly in an attempt to make her forget about her messages. Her godforsaken messages in which she was trying to set me up with some biker dude! I really didn't wanted to die if I could help it, you know. Of course, my sarcasm didn't go well with her.
"No need to act smart. Doesn't suit you anyway!" she said laughing.
Zoe Cameron. She has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. With brown hair and deep brown eyes, a heart-shaped face, she looked cute. Well, to guys. I'm straight, if you were guessing.
She was my one and only friend. Except for Jacob. Jacob Wells was my another friend. Was. His family relocated somewhere in Asia last year and we lost touch since then. He never bothered to keep in touch and me? Well, I had other stuff occupying my attention.
"Did you see Joe Merton? He's looking so hot today!"
Did I mention how flirty Zoe is. Probably not. Whenever I call her flirty, she flips out saying that she just appreciates God's creation. As if!
Sometimes I wonder, why can't I be like Zoe? Chirpy, happy, cheerful. A voice inside me told me I was. But that me was long dead.
I was lost in deep thought when she bumped her shoulder into mine and said, "Hey? You okay?"
"Yup. I'm fine. Why are you asking such a question?" I said in a pathetic attempt to conceal my emotions.
"Nothing. You look like you have something on your mind."
"Ummm really? Probably because I've not had breakfast." Real smooth Natasha, I thought. Blame food for your problems.
"Okay. If you say so. By the way, do you know I have two consecutive classes with Alex!" she said in an over-excited way and started doing some weird dance in the middle of the corridor.
I couldn't help but laugh. " Alex? Really Zoe? He's our teacher! You should be calling him Mr. Preston. And don't you think he's a bit too old for you?"
She's apparently in love with our History teacher, Mr. Preston. He's good-looking, I'd give him that. But I wasn't sure what Zoe felt was love.
"Love has no age!" she said in a dreamy voice. Bidding me goodbye, she turned to her class.
I watched her retreating figure with a smile. She was crazy. But who wasn't, right? Shaking my head, I turned towards my class. Math. Great! I'll be dead.

I have something on my mind. I'm just not sure if I should even say it or not. This story is really special to me and I'd love to hear what you guys think about it. But the problem is, I have 60 something reads and only a few friends voting and showing me support. I mean, are you guys actually reading and not bothering to vote? If this is it, then please don't be a silent reader. Do vote and comment for encouraging me.
I really hope you understand how much this story means to me.
As for the story, put on your love glasses! We're gonna meet Mr. Online in the next chapter! Yay!
Picture on the side, well I uploaded just for fun. Probably because it was a friend-friend chapter? I don't know. I'm one confused soul. Lol.
Love,
Simran :*
