Diana studied you as you read over the books she recommended. It was mostly the basics of witchcraft and wizardry, even going into a bit of history. There were a couple of books stacked up on the nightstand too if you were interested enough after finishing the one you were reading now.
The way you intently stared and studied every word, syllable, and symbol in the book proved to her how serious you were about bringing back your once fallen family name. Truly admirable.
It's been quite a while since she's been studying you. Yet you failed to notice, you were just that into the topic at hand.
Easy on the eyes. No, that was too weak of a word to describe you in her opinion. Beautiful, maybe? Or was that too much?
Sighing, she stood up from her chair and walked towards you. She called your name and you looked up at her. "Would you be willing to join me for a walk?"
"Sure." Smiling, you put a bookmark between the page you were at and closed the book, placing it on the table before stretching. Standing up next to her you offer your arm, "M'lady?"
Giggling at your display, she hooked her arm with yours and the two of you began walking.
When the two of you left, it was almost dusk. You talked for a while, getting to know one another a bit more.

On the first day, you just ended up shadowing Diana and taking notes on every possible thing that the teachers went over in class. You may not understand anything now but if you have the notes, you'll get participation points and you can ask Diana about whatever you wrote later.
You were now outside for flight class. Lining up in one of the many towers the school has. Professor Nelson, the flight instructor, insisted on going by the tradition of flinging students off the building to test their flying abilities.
You let out a sigh, the line was getting shorter and shorter, and your turn was almost up.
Diana seems to notice your tenseness and puts a comforting hand on your shoulder. "I'll go first and make sure you don't plummet to your death."
If you die, you die, that's it. The Proctor line will end with you, just like most of the other Nine olde families. Seeing that both your grandparent and mother died. Leaving you and your father... "Huh, I don't even know if he's even alive or not..."
"Pardon?" Diana raises an eyebrow.
"Hm? Oh, nothing. Just realized something." You leaned on your broom and smiled at her.
"And that would be?"
You let out a hm, should you tell her? Ah, who cares. "It just dawned on me that I'm technically an orphan now." Though that still doesn't free you from your debt or your responsibilities.
Diana got silent after that. The hand on your shoulder tightened as she seem to be looking through you.
You can tell that she was lost in thought.
Placing your hand on hers, you gently squeezed. "Are you alright?"
She opened her mouth to say something but got cut off.
"Next!"
She lets out a sigh, "I believe that's my turn." But before she left, she gave you a quick hug and whispered in your ear. "You're not alone... not anymore."
She smiles at you and went to the platform, mounted her broom, and flew once getting the ok from the professor. And true to her words, she didn't go too far from the tower and stayed near.
"Next!"
Sighing, you made it to the platform. Taking a deep breath, you closed your eyes and chanted the spell. "Tia freyle." And kept your eyes closed.
"Well? What are you waiting for kid, go to the next tower!" Professor Nelson yelled.
"S-sorry." And you started to move. Pointing the tip of your broom towards Diana who was smiling at you and floated to her.
"Would you look at that? You flew." She got next to you.
"Yeah, such a shame cuz the ground looks mighty comfortable from up here." You laughed.
Sadly she didn't like the joke and held onto your broom, pulling you closer to her. "Don't you dare." There was worry in her eyes as she said that.
Huffing, you smiled apologetically at her, "Don't worry, I have things to do anyway." You took her hand off of your broom and held it.
"You have to-"
You cut her off and kissed the back of her hand before flying off. 'I make no promises I can't fulfill.'
You failed to see the bright blush taking over Diana's face as she watched you fly off.

You got the hang of the broom rather quickly. It's like riding a motorcycle, but you're sitting on the handlebars. As weird as it may sound, it actually makes sense, at least in your opinion.
As you make your way to get dinner, you accidentally bump into something or someone to be exact.
"Crap, are you ok?" You lend a hand to the fallen girl.
"Thanks." The girl mumbles, taking your hand.
"I am so sorry about that, I wasn't looking where I was going." You apologized.
"Oh, no worries, I wasn't looking where I was going either." The girl apologized back.
You look at her as she shyly dusts her clothes off. She was a small little ginger girl with glasses. Timid natured.
Sticking your hand out to her once more, you introduced yourself. She smiled at you and shook your hand. "Nice to meet you, Y/n. My name's Lotte Yansson, it's nice to meet you."
"Please, the pleasure's all mine." You smile back at her. "Would you like to get dinner with me? I'm new and I don't have many friends."
"O-oh, yes, I would love to." She nods her head.
The two of you get to the cafeteria and grab your food before finding an empty table to sit at. You saw Diana with two other people so you left her to catch up with her other friends while you were with Lotte.
"So, Lotte, what do you do for fun or in your spare time?" You ask. You were eager to find something in common to talk about.
You see her fidget with her fingers before looking up at you. "Um, do you know about the book series called "Night Fall" by Annabel Creme?"
"It sounds familiar..." you thought over it for a bit before it hit you, "I remember, it's like Twilight, right?"
The room suddenly got cold as she looked at you with a very dead expression. "T#i$!ght is a disgrace to all vampires and werewolves alike."
You were quick to apologize.
