"Well that's a fun way to start off a vacation", I say as we walk through the halls.

Richard gives me a small smile.
"I'm sorry about that. That dude was a douche."

I turn to look at him.
"What do you mean? He just tripped."

He shakes his head.
"He did it on purpose. I saw it Kori. He was also hitting on you. I'm surprised you didn't notice."
His tone is soft, but I can still sense a hint of anger.

"Well...we were only talking for a few seconds. How do you know he was hitting on me? He could've just been friendly."

He raises an eyebrow at me.
"You're too naive for your own good."

Okay maybe I'm not the most knowing person sometimes.

We make it to my room and I unlock the door.
I grab a new shirt out.
Richard leans against the door waiting.

"I'll be right back", I say and head to the bathroom. I come back a few moments later.

"Ok I'm ready."

He offers me a smile and opens the door.

"I didn't get the chance to say it earlier, but you look pretty tonight."

Oh boy. There goes my heart again.

"Oh..thank you. Bee suggested we should wear something nice for dinner and I've always loved wearing skirts."

"Yeah I've noticed", he replies. "You usually wear them at the office."

He noticed that about me? I didn't think he would pay attention to what I wear.

We don't say anything the rest of the way down, but he does seem to get closer to me as we walk.

"We're back." I smile at my friends.

"Don't worry about that jerk, Kori. We got a different server."

"Yeah I can't believe that happened."

I hold my hands up.
"It's fine. It's all fixed now."

"Well next time I'll rough him up."
Gar flexes his muscles and many laugh at him.

He reddens in the face.
Wally is busting out laughing.
"What are you gonna do with those noodle arms Garfield?"

He just crosses his arms.
"I was being supportiveee!"
Rachel snickers and I just lean over to him.

With a giggle I say, "Thank you Garfield. I appreciate it."

The new waitress comes and takes our orders and soon we are relaxing and eating like nothing happened.

"I'll leave the tip", Richard says and pulls out his wallet.

We all thank him and head off to our rooms.

"So do you guys wanna go swimming?"

"I'm down", Wally chimes.

"Count me in."
We all agree to the idea.

"Okay then we'll meet you down there."

"I can't believe that one guy. I'm sorry about that Kori." Bee rolls her eyes.

"It's fine really. I'm just glad we sorted it out."

"You mean Dick sorted it out. He looked like he wanted to break the guy's fingers off."

I look away.
He was pretty protective of me. It's nice to know he's watching out for me.

"Hurry up guys! I want to swim."
Jenny comes out with a cute pink bikini.

"Oooh you look good." Bee wiggles her eyebrows at her.

Jennylaughs.

"So, Rachel, what are you wearing? Got a bikini in there?"
Bee questions her.

"I'm not one to show off my skin much. I've got a one piece."

"That's no different. One pieces are hot too."

Rachel smiles and rolls her eyes.
"Is impressing the men all you ever think about?"

She nods her head.
"Because they're expressions are always priceless. We can wrap them around our fingers easily."

Bee finally turns her attention to me and I gulp.
Here we go.

She clasps her hands together and walks over to me.

"Sooo...Kori. What did you bring for swimming?"

I also wore a bikini which pleased Bee very much.

By the time we got down there, the guys were already swimming.

Jenny ran in with a smile.
Swimming is her favorite.

She jumps into the pool with a splash and Wally just gushes at her.

Bee walks in next and we all follow. Victor walks out of the pool and walks up to her with his arms out.

"Oh you better not!"

He smiles at her and gives her a big bear hug.

"You're lucky I don't kick your ass, Sparky."
That's her nickname for Vic. He's good with tech and geeks out on it sometimes. He's also in love with his car, so she gave him this nickname. It's pretty fitting actually.

"Oh you love me." He let's go of her.

She just rolls her eyes and takes off her cover up, throwing it onto a chair.

She jumps into the pool next.
I watch Garfield hop out and he comes to greet Rachel.

"Ok it's your turn now mama."

"Eww don't call me that."

"You know you like it", he says and I laugh at them. They're such opposites, but I guess that's what makes them the best.

She takes off her cover up and he whistles.
"I'll swim later. Right now I just want to read my book."

"Alright!", he salutes her and jumps back in.

I finally look into the pool and see Richard....shirtless and wet. He's also staring at me. How long has he been doing that?
Oh my god.
I turn away before anyone can see my blush.

I head to a chair and start taking off my cover up to reveal my purple bikini. It's my favorite color after all.

I hear the sound of Victor's voice.
"I can see you staring, Dick", he laughs.

I gasp softly and quickly turn around. Richard and I make eye contact and he quickly averts his eyes.

My heart thumps.

He was looking at me.
But I totally didn't mind.
