CW: Excessive Drinking, Passing Out

"Bro, what the fuck?" Spencer muttered. Kara's vodka spilled over his shoe, which, luckily for him, wasn't one of his nice pairs. He grabbed Kara by the arm and pulled her around his shoulder, supporting her. He dragged her along, weaving through people.

Spencer desperately tried finding someone to help him. "Can anyone help?" Spencer pleaded as he staggered with Kara throughout the party. A few people looked concerned for Kara, while others seemed unfazed and just moved out of the way for Spencer and Kara to pass by.

A tall, tree-like Asian girl pushed through a few seniors Spencer knew, walking next to Spencer while examining Kara. "You want help?" Spencer nodded vigorously.

"Thank you so much." Spencer held Kara from the ribcage as the Asian girl hooked her arms under Kara's legs. They carried her out of the party. Surprisingly, nobody seemed to care that two kids were carrying a drunk girl out of the house.

"We're going to have to bring her to my house. Her mom would be so pissed if she saw her like this."

"Alright." The girl nodded.

"Hey, so, what's your name?" Spencer asked as they made tiny steps down a hill, trying to keep their balances.

"Sarah." She looked far less exhausted than Spencer felt.

"I'm Spencer." Spencer looked down at the blackout drunk girl they both carried. "Oh, and this is, uh, Kara."

"Oh. Okay. Are you guys, like, dating?" Sarah mumbled. She turned red.

"Oh. OH. No. We're just friends." He awkwardly laughed. "She's actually trying to help me get with our best friend," He added.

"Oh." Sarah looked away.

-----

"We're in." Spencer opened the front door.

"Okay." Sarah walked in. They tiptoed through the house, trying not to make noise.

"Is this your room?" Sarah asked as Spencer opened a bedroom door.

"Yeah. I'll put her on the bed. You mind grabbing some blankets from the hall closet? It's right across the hall." Spencer carefully lowered Kara onto his bed.

"Okay." Sarah went to the hall closet and grabbed the blankets.

"Thanks." Spencer pulled the blankets over Kara. He turned to Sarah and thought for a moment before speaking. "Um... what school do you go to?"

"Well, this is a Beckman High party."

"I've never seen you before. Are you new?" Spencer asked.

"Um, no. I've gone here since freshman year. Are you a junior?"

"Yeah! Yeah, we are too. Uh, me, Kara, Irina. Can't believe we've never met."

"I, um, don't talk to people that much. I'm only friends with two people, and one of them's new."

"Do you mean Kelly or...?" Spencer perked up.

"Yeah! Do you know her?"

"Kind of. The, um, girl I like? My best friend? She just asked Kelly out earlier."

"Oh, Irina? Oh, okay. I get it. I saw her ask. That sucks. I mean for you, not them." Sarah fidgeted with her long fingers. She looked at the seemingly dead body on the bed. "What do we do with her?" Sarah asked.

"Uhh..." Spencer and Sarah stared at the graceful, sleeping body on the bed. Kara's fluttering, long, dark eyelashes flickered as she slept. "I guess wait until she wakes up, try to hide her from my mom, sneak her out of the house."

"Well, where are you supposed to sleep?"

Spencer turned cherry red. He sputtered. "On the- on the floor?"

"Oh, okay." Sarah checked her phone. "It's 10:30 already? I have to go. But if you need help again in the morning, you can ask. Um..."

"Can I have your number then?"

Sarah nodded her head in agreement as they exchanged numbers. They said their goodbyes and Sarah left.

Spencer sighed as he looked over Kara for the last time.

"Dammit, man. How the hell am I gonna pull this off?" He muttered to himself as he took a spare blanket and pillow and made himself comfortable on his floor.
