the night went on. josuke had a sip of alcohol from joseph and passed out on the carpet. joseph had 14 beers in total and began singing karaoke. some guy named avdol had to come on stage and pull him away from the mic--he'd been singing for 2 hours straight.

dad drank 3 martinis and went off to bed. kakyoin went outside with avdol about 30 minutes ago and came back destroying the snack bar and the wedding cake. they were more baked than the pastries themselves.

polnareff left drunk slurring french slander and disappeared into the night.

and jotaro. . .was still drinking. it's crazy how this guy can keep his alcohol tolerance.

i've had a few drinks myself, but i was still conscious enough to function unlike the rest of the party. i ended up meeting holly--jotaro's mom. she's so kindhearted and tender. she reminded me of my mother before she abandoned us. but jotaro didn't seem to care about her. he ignored her most of the night until joseph began complaining to him to acknowledge her.

it was now past 1 in the morning. i was starting to get tired. i stood up and walked outside feeling the cold fresh air. i was buzzed so the cold wasn't a bother at the moment but the more the wind gushed the more chills pushed up onto my epidermis layer.

"if you're cold why'd you come outside?" i heard his voice.

"i just need a moment of fresh air. is that so bad?" i scoffed.

"you can't leave without my permission. you could of gotten lost again" he placed himself next to me.

i scolded.

"so you know about that huh? seems this castle has more eyes than i thought" i muttered under my breath.

"what'd you say?" he tugged onto my arm.

i backlashed, feeling the bruise on my arm course pain through my body. his eyes widened, shock and shame were written all over his face.

"sorry--i didn't realize"

"just leave. i know just as much how well we both aren't doing this because we want to. your grandfather set us up right? so you don't have to love me or care about me if you don't want to. this is more commercialized than syrup on a denny's commercial" i pushed him off.

"ruby!" he roared.

"what!? you're telling me you love me? that you seriously went out of your way to find me and put a ring on me!? don't make me laugh!"

"you think this is a farse?" he narrowed his cold-angry eyes at me.

"prove it then. prove to me that this is real. more real than the oxygen in the air. more real than the plants and grass that erupt from the earth. more real than this damn marriage!!"

"ah!"

i didn't know where we were. i didn't care either. all i knew was the entire time we were on the way to the joestar estate, jotaro and i was nearly tearing each other apart.

our lips crashed onto one another. he tasted so much like heavy cognac and mint. it was disgusting but i couldn't get enough of it.

the door to a room slammed open as jotaro grabbed me by the thighs and pulled me up to his waist. i clasped my legs onto his sides. damn, he's so broad i can't even cross my legs around him.
