I didn't like the way I was feeling. I couldn't be flustered by the touch of this guy, making me forget my anger.
I withdrew from his hold and began to hit him as hard as I could.
He didn't deserve anything good from me after saying those hurtful words.
I punched and punched till I was tired. I wasn't really angry because of what he said, I was angry because of how I felt. Why the hatred I have for him was swirling into something else, something I was too scared to say out loud.
He took my small hand in his, enveloping it with his large palm
"Don't touc-"
Before I could say another word, he pulled me closer, allowing my head rest on his shoulder, giving me the opportunity to inhale his scent, the sweetest scent of plain vanilla."Pour out everything on me Ariel", he spoke in a husky voice.
I didn't say anything, I just cried against him, releasing everything I have been holding in for long.
This was what I needed, a shoulder to cry on.
Everywhere became silence with only sounds of my heavy breathing.
"Why do you hate me?", I asked out of the blue.
I felt him stiffened and his heartbeat accelerated.
"W-w-why do you think I hate you?", he stuttered.
I released myself from his hold and looked into his beautiful green eyes, I got lost in their beauty.
"You've treated me like garbage since my freshman year, even till this day. You told me we aren't friends, called me a bitch and a thirsty slut, I didn't even do anything wrong to you but you hat-"
His lips locked with mine, igniting every part of my body mostly the soft flesh in between my thighs.
He broke the kiss and looked into my honey brown eyes.
"I'll never kiss someone I hate", he said
"So what are you saying?", I asked out of curiosity.
He sighed.
"I don't know but ever since you stepped on my shoes at the canteen, I've not been......able to get your images out of my head"I stared at him blankly with so many emotions.
I can't remember falling asleep but this was definitely a dream. My enemy?"What do you mean?", I asked.
"I've liked you since that day, I was really scared that I wasn't your type and that you'd reject me if I made any attempt to ask you out. So I figured a way to stay closer to you, by bullying you, I followed you around campus just to talk to you by making fun of you or allowing you bump into me to inhale your coconut and honey scent. I got jealous when you started hanging out with Cole and-"
I interrupted him.
"Wait Cole? Cole's my cousin. I told him to follow me around just to be safe from you"We looked at each other, understanding the twist from our perspectives.
"You followed me around on campus. Was that why you also followed me here?", I asked.
He raised his hands in defense.
"No, no, no, this was just a coincidence, I came to get more materials for my project, I didn't mean to stalk you""I see, you've finally said why you came here", I said with a smile.
He laughed.
"My point is, I've been in love with you for as long as I can remember. Sometimes I act mean because I try to get rid of my feelings for you""Has anything....changed?", I asked
He looked into my eyes again.
"No, it increases everyday"I gave a warm smile.
Now I was certain, I actually had feelings for this guy whom I thought was my enemy.
Wait, I still don't know his name.
