I see headlights in the driveway and grab one of my daggers. I slowly walk downstairs as I hear the door open. When I see Bekah, I quite literally squeal and run down to her, enveloping her in a hug. "Beks I missed you," I exclaim, my voice is slightly muffled by her hair.
"Penny! Why didn't you tell me you were leaving? Also how the hell are you pregnant?" She asks, pulling away from the hug but keeping her hands on my shoulders.
I sigh and give her a bittersweet smile. "You remember Lily? You met her briefly. She was actually the one who got pregnant but by a back-up spell I had Bonnie do, so that if something were to happen to her the baby would simply move to another uterus, now I'm pregnant. Also, sorry for not telling you goodbye in person, I was just in a bit of a rush to find Lily. Unfortunately, when I got here, I found her dead on the sidewalk of a random road."
"I'm sorry, Pen, I know how close you two were," she comforts.
"Thank you," I say, "why did you show up out of the blue?"
She sighs and we walk into a sitting room. "I'm looking for Elijah since he was begging me to come so I just wanted to see him so that I can go back to figuring out my own life."
"Yeah, well, good luck with finding Elijah, he isn't here. I've tried asking Klaus and going to find him, but Klaus always stops me. I know that he didn't leave on his own though, since he gave me his word that he would be here for me and protect me," I tell her softly.
She gets up from the armchair she had just sat down in and yells, "Klaus, get out here and tell me what you've done with our brother, you narcissistic, backstabbing wanker!"
Klaus opens two doors on the other side of the room saying, "Enough with all the shouting. Little sister. I should have known. I assume the six dead vampires were your doing."
"They were very rude," she defends, "trying to victimize a poor innocent girl just trying to find her way to the quarter. So sorry, were they friends of yours?" Her fake apologetic look turns into a smirk. "Oh, that's right. You don't have any friends."
"As fun as this is," I butt in, "I'm going to go get ready for bed. I'm not going to sleep for a little while, so if either of you have time to chat, I have some things I need to talk about with each of you... separately." I don't wait for an answer and just run back up the stairs and into my room.
I take out my phone and decide to call Damon. While it's ringing, I grab my brown flannel pajama shorts and a The Velvet Underground t-shirt.
"Hello?" I hear Damon's voice through my phone speaker.
"Hey demonic spirit, how are ya?" I ask, takin off my jeans and putting on my shorts.
"I'm alright. How's the baby? Have you had any morning sickness?" He asks worriedly.
"No, your niece or nephew is healthy and safe as of right now. I'm doing fine, kinda need to talk to some of the OGs, but I'm already trying to do that," I tell him, pulling the t-shirt on after taking off my tank top and bra.
