"Seungmin and Hyunjin are dating and they don't have their soulmate tattoos yet," Chan pointed out one random afternoon as the two were sitting in Minho's living room watching a movie together.

Chan was now 16, Minho was 15 and despite holding hands and occasionally giving each other hugs or accidentally waking up wrapped up in each other's arms, they still stayed friends and nothing more.

"Well, Seungmin doesn't believe in soulmates, and Hyunjin is already fully convinced that they are going to be soulmates anyway," Minho replied, not looking up at him/

"We're both already fully convinced that we're soulmates."

"Mhm," Minho hummed, smiling at something on his phone.

"Minho," Chan sighed as he moved to lay his head on the younger's lap, "are you even listening?"

"Sure," he replied mindlessly, still not looking at him.

"Min," Chan pouted as he moved his hand in front of his face which finally managed to get his attention.

"What?" He asked as he moved his hand away and continued scrolling through his phone.

"I'm gonna cry."

"Why? What happened?" Minho asked as he finally put his phone down and looked down at Chan who simply smiled at him since he had finally managed to get his attention.

"You were ignoring me."

"I'm not anymore, what is it?"

"Would you like to go on a date?" Chan simply asked as Minho's face flushed pink and he began choking on air.

"Where did that come from?"

"A lot of people date before they find out who their soulmate is."

"Yeah but..." Minho trailed off as he looked down at his best friend. It wasn't necessarily that he had something against going out with him.

He loved Chan, a lot actually, but the timing just felt off.

Chan had started a music group with Changbin and their other friend Jisung and Minho of course still had dance club and of course, they both still had school.

They hung out nearly every day as friends but having the title of a boyfriend still seemed quite overwhelming.

Minho had nothing against people dating before their soulmate tattoo appeared of they thought that it was right for them.

However, he also believed that there was a reason for the tattoo not to show up until someone turns 18.

He himself was one of those people who wanted to wait until his tattoo appeared.

"You can say no, sorry if it was too sudden."

"Is it okay if we...wait?"

"Of course," Chan responded as he grabbed Minho's hand and placed a quick kiss on the back of it, "I'll wait as long as I need to for us."

"You're cringe," Minho laughed, trying to hide the fact that he was internally freaking out over Chan's simple act of kissing his hand.

"Only for you."

"Shut up," Minho mumbled as he picked his phone up again but ran his hand through Chan's hair as he scrolled through it this time.
