one weeks later
Lavender pov
"let's go out... on a date maybe?" I tested with a shy smile
Elizabeth turned to look at me from the food she was cooking
"girl I am cooking food and you talking about a date. you should've suggested that before I started cooking" she huffed and turned back around to stir the meat in the pan
"no I mean like later. it's 2pm now"
"fine. but where? and I don't have any more clothes"
"that's fine. we can wash"
"I'll think about it"
once she finished cooking we went back to my living room area and I turned on the tv. we strolled through Netflix movie options
"I wanted to start watching orange is the new black" Elizabeth said and bit into her food
"okay we can watch that" I went to search it up and started it
5 minutes into the movie Elizabeth devoured her whole plate while I was half way through
"are you gonna eat that?" she pointed to my plate
I looked down at it then back at her then handed her the plate
"ugh thanks. I'm such an awesome cook" she said and started to eat again
I chuckled and turned back to the tv
we walk down the aisle of the grocery store and put food inside the buggy
"can I get some strawberries" Elizabeth asked
I nodded and she walked away. I continued to walk down the aisle when I bumped into someone's buggy with mine
"oh I'm sor-" I froze as I saw Sarah... my sister
"lavender!" she exclaimed. "hi"
I cleared my throat. "um hi"
she smiled and I just stared at her
me and my sister split apart when our parents divorced. she left with mom and I left with dad. we haven't seen each other in 15 years.
she looked so different now. I of course knew what she looked like because mom often sent me pictures even though I asked her not to but she loved to brag about how successful Sarah had gotten and what better way to do that then to send me pictures often?
her used to be short black hair was now blonde and stopped to her butt. her lips were fuller and she had a tan.
"you look no different" she said to break the silence
"yeah and you look so different..."
she tilted her head. "is it the lips? yeah I went to get surgery" she grinned
"mhm the lips.." I turned around to look for Elizabeth so we could leave
"looking for someone? did you get a boyfriend?"
I looked back at her. "no boyfriend, I'm lesbian"
"oh uh..." now it was her turn to be awkward. "that's great... go gays!" she pumped her first unenthusiastically and I cringed
I saw a gleam of light and looked down to her finger
"oh married?" I asked and my thigh started to bounce
"yes" she held up her hand. "married for three years now. I'm so in love with him" she gushed
"nice nice" I smiled. I was actually happy for her
one day that could be me and Elizabeth...
one day
"lavender!" I heard from behind me and spun around. Elizabeth was standing there with strawberries and Nutella. "hope you don't mind I picked up this"
"nope whatever you want" I smiled.
"yay!" she came and put the things in the buggy before she noticed Sarah was standing there. "oh uh hi, who is this?" she asked looking at me
"I'm Sarah" she said happily and held out her hand
Elizabeth hesitantly shook it
"Sarah, Elizabeth. Elizabeth, Sarah, my sister" I introduced them
"I didn't know you had a sister?" Elizabeth said with confusion
"oh I bet she doesn't talk about me much" Sarah butted in
"yes I have a sister. our parents got divorced" is said, ignoring Sarah
"ohhhh okay" Elizabeth said with understanding
after saying our byes to Sarah and promise to meet up sometime, which I know we'll never do, me and Elizabeth went back to walking
"you know, I have siblings too"
"you do?"
"yeah five actually but we don't talk. once we grew up everybody went their separate ways. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers. all of us over 18"
"that's nice. hope we can meet one day?"
"yeah one day" she smiled
"no! you aren't going back there..." I yelled at Elizabeth who was standing by the door
she was trying to go to Tyler's place. I don't care if it was to just get her clothes. he couldn't be trusted
"but I'm running out of clothes and I'm tired of wearing the same thing over and over, lavender" she whined
"then we can buy you some more" I folded my arms
"no. I'm going and that's final. you don't have any control over me so stop acting like it" she scoffed
"I'm not trying to act like I have control over you"
"you obviously are. so what if I go back? it's not your business?"
"not my business? you fuck me Elizabeth so excuse me if I'm afraid that you'll just run off with your ex again!" I yelled
"wow you really think that low of me? maybe I should just go fuck him to make you mad" she snapped
"don't do that. I swear don't do that" I narrowed my eyes at her
"there you go trying to control me again. Ill do whatever the fuck I want" she turned around and opened the door
"Elizabeth-" before I could continue she was out the door and slammed it after her
