"Woah... This place looks like Hogwarts!," Elizabeth yells out as her, Zoey, Alyssa, Noah, and Gabe stand outside the large high school, admiring it.

"It kinda does," Zoey agrees half-heartedly.

The five walk into the high school and immediately get hit in the face with the smell of pumpkin pie.

"Oh. My. Gosh. Where is that smell coming from?" Zoey looks around, trying to find a cafeteria or something.

"Guys, I think I see a library down at the end of the hall. Can we go? Pleaseeeee?," Elizabeth practically begs her friends.

"After we figure out who's sharing a dorm with who. There's five of us, so one of us is gonna go make a new friend," Gabe says.

Everyone simultaneously looks at Zoey.

"What?! Why me? Why not Noah, he's the most social out of all of us!," Zoey complains.

"Because I have Gabe." Noah smiles and wraps his arm around Gabe's neck, although he has to stand on his toes to do so.

"Ugh. Fine. Bye losers, I'm going to find a dorm." Zoey rolls her eyes and walks off.

"Alright. Noah, come on." Gabe walks off as well.

"Yayyyy I get to share with Anya." Elizabeth smiles to herself. "Let's go!" Elizabeth grabs Alyssa's hand and marches away.

A couple hours later, after everyone has settled in, they all meet right outside the library doors.

"Alright. Now, why are we coming here?," Gabe asks.

"Well, we're here to see what kind of books they have. To see if coming to the library once a week is even worth it," Elizabeth replies.

"Fair. Let's go in, then." Gabe walks in and the rest of them follow.

"Oh my goodness, it is totally worth it to come in here once a week." Elizabeth looks around at the ginormous library with awe.

The five break off to see if the library has what everyone wants.

Elizabeth is the first to find what she is looking for. "Guys, they have Natasha Preston and Karen M. McManus' books!," she practically squeals.

"And they have April Henry and Jane Harper!," Zoey exclaims, almost jumping with joy.

"And Battlefield 3," Gabe joins in.

"Gordon Korman, too!," Noah adds.

"THEY HAVE HEARTSTOPPER!," Alyssa practically screams, making Elizabeth laugh.

The five check out two books each and start walking back to their dorms. On the way there, though, they have to go through an almost empty hallway, with only one door. They stop at the door and stare at it.

"I wonder what's in there," Noah wonders out loud.

"Probably like, a teacher's lounge or something." Zoey shrugs and keeps walking.

"Maybe."

The friends start walking to their dorms, before Elizabeth secretly pulls out her phone.

"Guys, do you have your phones on you?" Elizabeth turns around to face her friends.

"Yeah, but it's dead," Zoey says.

"Mine too," the other three say, almost at the same time.

"Ugh. Okay, whatever. Mine is at 80%, so do you guys maybe wanna go out for a walk instead of going to bed?," Elizabeth asks.

The rest agree and they all silently walk out of the school, just to be met with darkness.

"Damn, they don't even have lights out here?," Zoey whispers.

"Clearly not." Gabe rolls his eyes.

They all walk away from the school until they get into the side of the road. Then, Elizabeth turns the flashlight on on her phone and leads the way down the road.

"This is nice. I mean, it's not hot and it's not cold. There are mosquitoes though," Noah says as he slaps a mosquito on his arm.

The friends continue walking for another 30 minutes before they decide to turn around and go back before they get too lost.

That is, until they hear a loud honk behind them and see a bright light getting closer. All five turn around.

...

Just to see a truck before it all goes dark.
