Nancy Wheeler felt odd.

And not the kind of odd that you felt when you were about to puke or you had a huge class presentation ahead. No, this feeling wasn't even close to describable, at least not in any words even her own intellectual mind could come up with. Ever since her, Steve, Eddie, Jonathan, the kids and Robin started working on this Vecna creep's case together, she felt as though she was being pulled to Robin, like a magnet on a fridge.

It wasn't like she was trying to fall for her, it's just that Robin always knew what to say and how to say it and she never stopped talking. Meanwhile, Nancy could barely carry a conversation that wasn't boring enough to make someone stop listening. At first, the Wheeler teen was annoyed, it was hard to focus with Robin's hyper antics.
But Nancy guessed she got used to it, maybe a little too used to it. Especially when she started thinking of how pretty the electric blue shade of Robins eyes were or how Robin's style was so dynamic to that of her own. Even more so how bold she was, which she knew Robin would doubt if she had the courage to tell her. But it was true, Robin never feared to say exactly what she was thinking or over-share, even to Nancy.

It was a normal day in the Wheeler household. Karen and Ted were unsuspecting of their children, per-usual. Mike was gone in California, anyway, in exchange for Jonathan's visit back to Hawkins. The Byers teen hadn't expected his spring break with his best friends to go exactly how it was going but, there he was, dealing with interdimensional demons all over again. Except, that was for later, right now, he was focused on chatting with Nancy, specifically on the way she'd been acting around Robin Buckley.

"Hey so-

"Oh my god, you have a Tom Cruise poster!" Robin interrupted Jonathan with a gasp, rushing into Nancy's room.
"You have a Tom Cruise poster." She then repeated in much more of a mimic.

"That's.. old." Nancy blushed, butterflies swarming her stomach as she continued going through her plethora of clothing, needing to find own that suited the "academic scholar" vibe she was going for, that was, for her and Robins next mission— speak with Victor Creel himself.

Jonathan watched the way Nancy's cheeks turned pink as she turned her head away in a matter of seconds. Robin made herself busy by messing with nearly everything she saw in Nancy's room, cassette tapes, a ballerina music box, necklaces, etc.

Nancy would have minded if it was Steve or Mike or truly anyone else, but something about Robin just made her trustworthy.

Suddenly, the sound of Robin's name being yelled by Steve all the way downstairs caused her exit, giving Jonathan the chance to finally speak up,

"Are you just gonna ignore that?"

"Ignore what?" Nancy questioned back, probably too quickly for her own good.

"The fact that you're literally head over heels for Robin."

"What? No, no way." The Wheeler shook her head, her cheeks redder then the dress she'd been holding. But Jonathan could tell she was lying, after all their adventures with the demogorgon and the mind flyer years previous, he had gotten pretty used to the way she acted.
