Days passed like seconds, and it already was the first week of December.

When Jin walked downstairs in his own house, he didn't accept Hoseok to meet. He came here to meet Heiye and was now leaving. For a moment, Jin wanted to stop him and ask him to have breakfast before leaving, but honestly, he didn't like this boy.

Jealousy is what people call it.

Like Hoseok has the same feeling towards Jin, the latter didn't even bid his bye to him. He just walked away after taking a small glimpse of his.

Sighing, Jin walked to grab his car key, when a small box with a latter on it caught his view. Curious, he walked to take a proper look of it.

Thinking carefully, he opened his phone screen, which showed 4th Dec'. He quickly unfolded the letter to see the full message.

'Happy birthday, Heiye!'

A relived sigh left his lips, but deep down, he really accepted someone to present something. He knows nobody remembers his birth day. He can't accept anything from Namjoon and Yoongi. It's been years since he last celebrated his birthday.

He glanced at the gift box, assuming Hoseok would've left it here for Heiye to take it. His eyes twisted with unknown feelings inside him. 'I could've given a bigger one.'

From how long Jin had been staring at the closed screen of his phone, he didn't remember. The meeting he joined was over an hour ago, his every employee walked back to do their respective work, leaving him alone.

He was absent-minded the entire time. He doesn't even clearly know what he was thinking. Before meeting, he was checking time, like he would miss his unknown flight, and now he was wasting his time.

"Why is it so complicated? She's just a kid.." He let out in frustration.

He finally swiped up his phone screen and dialed a number. The person picked it before the third ring, and before they could speak, he spoke,"Where's Heiye? Give the phone to her." His coldness dripped like water from his voice.

The other line went silent for a moment before the person answered,"Miss. Heiye is taken away by the boy named Hoseok. He said he'll take her before even -"

Jin hung up the call furiously as he clenched his head with one hand. He doesn't know why he feels so much jealousy regarding the boy who's the boyfriend of a girl who doesn't even relate to him.

He rubbed his eyes. She's not your daughter to start with! And he's her boyfriend to end with!

He scolded himself. He really hates when Hoseok becomes protective over Hieye and how easily he uses himself as a human shield to protect her.

He stood up from his chair. He clearly isn't in his right mindset to think straight, but he is also clearly not insane enough to make mistakes.

He knows what he's doing.

He came out of his meeting room and walked straight out to the lobby, ignoring everyone who was greeting him on his way out. He never knew he would start a jealousy competition with a teenager.

Sitting in his car, he drove himself back home. Though he might not really care about Heiye, he thought of his daughter and continued to order something.
