Everyone glanced at the scene playing out in front of them. How often would they see Draco Malfoy holding hands with Y/n L/n? No one really complained, maybe because they knew Draco's authority, but mainly because they thought the two would make a nice couple.

"Draco?"

"Yes, darling?" Is that supposed to be platonic?

"Why is everyone staring at us?...It's weird." He chuckled to himself and looked at your hands. He liked having them in his, but he hated when you felt uncomfortable.

"We're holding hands. Maybe they think we're dating." Of course they do. You didn't care. He probably had a girlfriend anyway. Well, a crush.

As Draco looked at you, you couldn't help but think why he kept looking at the students. He was turning his head constantly, like someone was staring at him.

"What's wrong?" You were very confused. If there was a problem, he'd solve it by telling the person to go away or something.

"Nothing," he quickly moved his head towards you and continued speaking: "These children may or may not be staring at us even more." You rolled your eyes and looked at the students.

"Have you noticed that you, the Slytherin Prince, are holding hands with me, the Ravenclaw...student?" He chuckled, openly this time, and spoke.

"You're more than a student, princess." Again with the pet names! What's up with him today?

"If you like me, you can just tell me!" You joked. He silently laughed and nodded.

"Sure." You were finally at the potions classroom, beginning to take your seats. You sat next to Draco and his friends again. They liked you, so it wasn't a problem. "Don't listen to those idiots, love, they were at Madam Pomfrey's for a concussion today." Sarcasm that was falling out of his mouth. Huh? Why? What are they saying? Who are they anyway?

You shifted in your seat and saw some Gryffindors. They were laughing and nodding their head towards you.

"What's funny?"

"I don't know, ask your boyfriend." That was the moment when you cringed. It wasn't because they claimed Draco was your "boyfriend", but because of the way they said it. Apparently, there's a difference between being rude and being rude while being annoying. It's not a big deal. Move on.

You shifted to your original position and glanced at Draco. He seemed mad, but he seemed proud too. Would he seriously want to be your boyfriend? Move on, you thought to yourself again.

The class was oddly simple and you understood everything well. Snape strutted to you and looked at your potion. "Good job, L/n. Now, may I speak to you outside." Others next to you ooed and Snape replied with: "She is not in trouble; but you will be, if you continue this behavior. Get to work." They didn't hesitate to drop their eyes to their books and continue their potion-making.

Snape lightly tapped your shoulder and lead the way to the hall. You followed. "Everyone has been saying that Mr. Malfoy and yourself are..something. I am going to be honest with you and tell you that you are both some of my favorites. As much as I think you are smart, just beware of the other students...I was your age once. Now, I want you to make me a special potion to show to the class." He told you the potion and it's purpose.

You were attempting to focus on what he was saying at the moment, but it was difficult. What did he mean by "something" and "beware of students"? What are they going to do and what did he go through, when he was 13? At least you and Draco are his favorites. He never says that to just anyone. It's a huge compliment.

You walked back to your seat and glanced at your potion, making sure it was finished. Then, you started the one Snape asked you to make. It was hard, but you completed it.

When everyone finished their assignments, Snape told you to come forward. You knew he wanted you to show the potion, so you brought it up too. "Now, I want all of you to look at the following mixture. Many of you will know it, while others won't. Especially if you don't, I recommend paying attention."

You loved being the favorite student, and you loved Snape not even looking to make sure your potion was correct. He was confident in you and that made you feel confident in yourself. Many people hated Snape. He didn't enjoy them as well. Thank God you got along with him.
