I remember what it's like
to write poetry
I remember the feelings
I wrote about
and why
but now
that I'm not how
I used to be
I don't know what it like
to write poetry
I want to write
but
I have nothing
to write about
nothing happening in
my life
that's worth
writing about
I remember what its like
to write poetry
to dump all my darkest thoughts
in vague words
for strangers to read
but now
after seeing the world
for what
I would've missed
I no longer know
what its like
to be a poet of sorrow
and its difficult to find
other things to
write about
I miss
writing poetry
but I know
that means
I'm better
then I was
I remember what it like
to write poetry
I don't know what it like
to write poetry
I'll continue to remember
to dream
and try and write
it'll just be
different
