'What are you doing?' Zani asked perched above Xerxes in the tree there. To the east over part of the mountain, there was a faint glow. The sun would be coming up soon. Xerxes watched the vampire, Niki was his name. An odd name and he figured that it was an abbreviation or a nickname of some kind.

'What do you think I'm doing?' Xerxes mentally remarked with an odd smirk on his face.

'I think you are being stupid.' Zani said his head bobbing a little as he watched a bird on a branch not far away. Niki moved toward the building to go inside, but at the last moment seemed to change his mind and took off in a different direction deep into the woods. Xerxes thought that interesting, he clearly didn't trust the humans. Perhaps he should talk with the vampire.

'I think I'm getting what I want.' Xerxes said feeling no shame.

'She might have a very negative reaction to you just showing up.' Zani warned.

'I don't think so. It's a chance I'm willing to take. You are in my head you should know this.' Xerxes saw a man moving outside and taking up a watch. There was no one here right now, if they wanted to attack, the building was going to come down and everyone with it. However that was not his intention at the moment at all. He looked up to where he knew Kendra's window was. There were a few cameras, but he knew that they had blind spots easy enough to go around.

'You are obsessed, what if this makes your craving worse?'

'So? I like this feeling, and I want to have my body sated as well. You're just jealous.' Zani looked down at him and dropped from his branch. He became one with Xerxes skin and Xerxes gave a slight shiver as the tattoo moved over his left side.

'I wish you wouldn't move like that, it feels weird.'

'I wish you wouldn't be so impulsive, but we can't always get what we want.'

'And dropping that human from the sky wasn't impulsive?'

'At least I wasn't purposely going into the enemy's spot.

'Enemy's camp sounds better.' Zani just gave a grumble and Xerxes moved forward with a blur of speed and was up the side of the building and on the little ledge there a second later and slipped into the room the window sliding shut silently behind him. That was really easy, she should have secured her window better.

When he'd left Kendra in the city a few hours ago, his body had been in a complete rage. It had been very hard to control himself to not go after her or destroy something. Having things taken from him, he didn't cope well with it. However he'd already planned to have her anyways, and there wasn't anyone here now.

The room smelled like her, that mix of ocean and sweetness. It hit him like a rush and he felt his mouth water again. She was laying on the bed face down and above the covers. The shirt she wore was twisted slightly and her pants rode low.

Xerxes moved over by her and with her breathing he knew that she wasn't in a deep sleep, just kind of dosing really. He remembered exactly what she felt like before, how she moved against him and was just as demanding. Just the thought of it made his body react and he didn't need to reason anything out to want this woman. He'd made up his mind, and he had not changed it.

'Rational thought seems to go right out the window with you and her. Ever think there is something wrong with your intense reaction?' Well Xerxes could commented about the whole maybe mate thing again. However he didn't, Zani seemed a bit more on edge.

'Nope.' Xerxes said not caring. Zani was starting to truly wonder about Kendra. Xerxes had never acted like this with anyone ever, but remained quiet. Still battling that secret hope. Xerxes excitement was starting to affect him and it was kind of like a head rush really.
