As soon as he got out of the meeting room, anyone could tell that Jungkook was in bad shape. His face was stern with his jaw clenched. Well, he had scolded some of his employees for negligence in several aspects. Jungkook isn't a bad person they know, but he's a perfectionist after all.

"Cha  Eunwoo, where have you been?" he asked the man who was sitting on one of the sofas with several folders in his hands. The short man grimaced and approached Jungkook.

"Sorry sir, I really had a stomach ache that I couldn't get out of the restroom. Then I consulted doctor Hani and she said I ate too much spicy food."

"All right all right. Then Jisoo?"

"When I went in to check on the situation, the girl was sleeping on the sofa."

Jungkook took a deep breath.

"Is that so. Ah yes, Sohee..." Jungkook switched with his cold voice.

"Y-yes Sir?"

"Thanks for taking care and not letting anyone in. But you don't have to be rude to Jisoo. She's not that kind of woman."

Sohee squeezed her skirt briefly.

"Sorry Sir..."

"And. . . Stop telling everyone about us having sex that one time."

Without waiting for his interlocutor's response, Jungkook went straight to his room. Leaving Sohee who was biting her lip hard, half embarrassed half annoyed.

Jungkook's words at first sounded wise, but his cold gaze that never stopped slashing made Sohee feel like she was being humiliated.

"What are you looking at?" She snapped when she found Eunwoo was staring at her with raised eyebrows. The man flinched.

"Aishh, move out of my way!"

Jungkook did intend to take Jisoo home, but seeing Jisoo sleeping on a single lazy sofa in his room with a blanket covering her neck, made Jungkook cancel his intention. He couldn't bear to wake Jisoo up. So what he did now was to continue his work while waiting for the girl to wake up.

He smiled a little seeing how peaceful the face of the chatty girl who used to talk about all things everyday was. She slept so peacefully. Even the first day where Jisoo fell asleep in his room, the girl hugged his body, which she thought was her doll until morning where Jungkook woke up.

But seeing Jisoo made Jungkook remember the conversation a few minutes ago. His mother again discussed about the engagement that Jungkook really avoided.

The man stopped what he was doing and took a deep breath. While leaning his back for a moment.

He still doesn't understand why his parents are so intent on marrying him off to a woman he doesn't know at all. In addition, he is also afraid of hurting the woman who marries him later. Because Jungkook can't promise he will pay attention to her. That woman would obviously be the umpteenth priority for him. Or maybe not a priority at all.

In recent days Jungkook has often thought about the possibility of trying a further relationship with Jisoo. But he also doubted. I mean, she's fun, a little ball of sunshine. Such a happy virus. And she's a good girl too. But Jungkook is not sure that his feelings will turn into love.

Jungkook wasn't the type to intentionally hurt a woman. That's why, he always kept his distance from them. Not wanting to make the girls misunderstood.

But Jungkook just couldn't keep himself away from Jisoo. Jungkook couldn't be cold or rude to her. The girl had also filled the lonely atmosphere in the large penthouse where he had previously lived alone. And that became one of the main reasons he came home more often.
