Chapter Eight: Making Okonomiyaki & Miso Soup🍲

     "Yoongi, where exactly are we going?" I chuckled as Yoongi's grip on my hand tightened. I saw that sly smirk form on his face and I immediately felt my face redden.

      "You'll see soon. I've got several things planned out for us today." Yoongi answered. "The real question is...is do you want to something new and exciting first and then do a peaceful activity later--or vice-versa?"

      I thought about it for a moment, and I take in a deep breath.

     "I think...I'll have to go with the new and excitement activity first and then the peaceful one afterwards." I answered sweetly.

     "I was hoping you'd choose that option." Yoongi chuckled softly as he leaned over and lightly kissed the top of my head. "I also hope that you and Baby Min are hungry because first...we're going to learn how to make okonomiyaki and miso soup."

    "Are you serious?!" I said excitedly.

    "Mhm! It'll just be the two of us and the chef and her husband." Yoongi replied. "And that's not even the best part...do you want to know what the best part is going to be?" Yoongi smirked devilishly as he waited for me to answer.

      "Oh? And what might the best part be?" I chuckled.

      Almost immediately, Yoongi stopped walking and pulled me close to him and pressed his forehead against mine. His devilish smirk grew even wider as he chuckled under his breath.

     "The best part is," he whispered softly. "Is that I'll get to see you in a kimono while we're cooking. And...I'll try my best to behave." Yoongi winked playfully as he said the word 'behave' and my heart felt like it was about to burst out my chest. "After our food has settled, I'm going to take you somewhere special and it'll be exciting--and I can't promise you that I'll behave once we're there." He added in a flirtatious tone.

     "Min Yoongi...you'd better behave yourself while we're cooking." I muttered softly under my breath. "If you don't...I'll..."

      "You'll what?" Yoongi teased, the tone in his voice filled with anticipation. I immediately swallowed hard--Yoongi had me right where he wanted me, flustered and slightly turned on by him teasing me without even doing anything.

      "N-n-nevermind..." I replied, my face turning every shade of red. With a satisfied smirk, Yoongi slowly leaned away from me and we continued walking.

     "You're so damn cute when you're flustered." Yoongi laughed. Without even thinking, I playfully and lightly smacked his shoulder with my free hand, to which we both chuckled.

      After walking for a few more minutes, Yoongi stopped walking in and we stood in front of a traditional looking home. Yoongi gently knocked on the door and we patiently waited for someone to answer. As we waited, Yoongi leaned down towards me, his lips barely touching my ear.

     "Soo-Yin...you better promise me something--don't spill any miso soup on me." Yoongi said playfully. "We wouldn't want to recreate our first meeting all over again would we?"

     "Yoongi, you just love to remind me of that don't you?" I laughed softly.

     "Hey, it'll be a funny story to tell Baby Min." Yoongi whispered. "Plus I'll be--"

      Before Yoongi could finish his sentence, a middle-aged woman answered the door and she smiled sweetly at the both of us. We politely bowed our heads towards her as she warmly welcomed us inside. "Come on inside, my husband and I have been expecting you."

       Yoongi and I smiled at each other, and then at the woman before following her inside. Immediately her home exuded a sense of warmth and I felt as though I was being wrapped in a huge, welcoming hug. Once we stood in the doorway of the kitchen, the woman's husband politely greeted us. As my eyes and Yoongi's eyes scanned over the table, it was very easy to see just how prepared and intimate this experience would be. Then, the wife tapped on my shoulder and smiled at me.
