THE CAR RIDE BACK TO THE SUMMER HOUSE WAS AN AWKWARD ONE. i mean especially since they had to be escorted by the police like a bunch of criminals. when they got into the house, they were met with the angry face of laurel as she was not happy to see her kids and the two boys who she considered family being escorted by cops.
"officer's, thank you it won't happen again i can promise you that much," laurel apologized on the teenagers behalf for their dumb actions.
"tell mr fisher the chief wants to set up a tee time when he gets back in town," the male officer spoke up looking at the middle aged woman, his eyes flickering to the back as he glared at the five teenagers behind her.
"absolutely, sorry again for all the trouble, have a goodnight officers." laurel said as she starting walking towards the door letting the officers out before turning around the kids, a look of fury plastered upon her face.
"how could you guys be so irresponsible?" laurel scolded as she look at the five teenagers who all sat with a guilty look on their faces.
"mom, it wasn't a big deal all right seriously the cops were just looking to break up the bonfire," steven attempted to reassure his mom, attempting to take the heat off of them.
"not a big deal, i would say getting picked up by the cops for underage drinking is a pretty big deal, steven," laurel scoffed, steven began sniffing the air as his mom scolded him his lips upturning in to a smirk, olivia watched this interaction with a look of confusion plastered across her pretty face.
"were you guys smoking tonight?" steven questions with a chuckle, laurel's facial expression changed drastically along with her body posture, "keep your voice down susannah's asleep on the couch," laurel raised her tone.
"well, i wasn't yelling you were," steven began to stutter through his words as he was not expecting his mother's sudden outburst.
"just so you know, laurel i didn't drink tonight, i was the dd i swear," jeremiah lied through his perfect teeth as he was terrified of laurel.
