(Tobis pov) April 7th, 2022: me and Ivan decided to turn on a film. We fought for a bit over who got to pick the movie but ultimately chose ladybird. "Jesus it's cold in here" Ivan turned to me shoveling popcorn in his mouth "my dads a cheapskate I got a hoodie wait here" I grabbed a hoodie from my closet "here it's kinda old but I think it'll fit" Ivan and I laughed as he tried to squeeze into this shrunk nirvana hoodie from at least two years ago "hey it's the thought that counts" I chuckle sitting down on the couch.

Time passes me and Ivan both fall asleep on the couch but get woken up when we hear my dad rummaging through the kitchen "fuck..." Ivan rubs his eyes and shakes me "hey Tobi I should go home" "hm?" I open my eyes and glance at my dad and then back to ivan "okay I'll walk you home" I got up to grab a jacket and ivan quickly interrupts me "no it's like midnight it's fine don't worry" he smiles and grabs his bag "okay well I'll at least walk you to the porch" I shot my dad a glare and walked ivan outside "I'm sorry if my dad said anything to you or anything he's like a fuckin republican or whatever-" "tobi it's fine he woke me up from dropping something he didn't say anything but I should be going home my step moms gonna lose her shit" "oh..okay well you can keep the hoodie" I laughed and went In for a hug this time he didn't scrunch up like he usually does "I'll see you Monday" he waved me bye and walked home "text me when you're home" I shouted before walking inside. "sooo who's he.." my dad says slurring over his words "he's a friend from band his names ivan he's in my grade that give you enough information?" I pause to glance at my dad and then continue cleaning "cool it's okay I was just asking" my dad goes to grab another beer from the fridge"but I gotta ask is he-" I cut my dad off "I'm going to bed dad" I slammed my door behind me shut off my light and slumped into bed *ding* my phone lights up it reads *from Ivan* I smile seeing he got home fine

April 10th Monday 2022:
I wanted to look nice today because it was a rehearsal for a show or whatever so I threw on a gray sweatshirt with an MCR band tee over it my converse and jeans the usual. I had to skate to school at the ass crack of dawn because my dad was at the car garage he works at. I got to the parking lot where most of my friends were vaping "HEY TOBES" "TOASTER" my two best friends kina and tye ran up to me "how was the weekend dude" tye wrapped one arm around my shoulder while we walked to the front door "it was fine just the usual ya know?" "Totally dude but we'll catch ya later we're already late AND we have miss randone for first" kina patted my back and walked off with tye. Kinas a lesbian and she has a gf a grade above us named charlotte and they're chill and tye is unlabeled but he's asexual. "HEY IVAN" "TOBI" we ran up to each other and almost fell trying to hug each other "hey how was the weekend?" "It was fine ya know ?" Me and him chit-chatted on the way to first period which we both had together.

The bell rang for final period which just so happened to be band "no no I just think the ending wasn't that good" "tobi you cried.." "HER MOM- SHE WENT TO COLLEGE- SHUSH OK" Ivan laughed and walked to his seat he was across the row from where I was. After class I was sat in the hall"TOBI" kina yelled out to me while I was waiting for Ivan to get out of the office. "Tobi you free tonight? Me tye char and aspen are having a picnic you can bring Ivan" "yeah I'm free I'll have to ask Ivan" "ok just text in the group chat if you can come". Ivan came out a few moments later "sorry I took so long my step mom called" "you're fine but I was meaning to ask you" his eyes shot up to mine as if he was expecting a huge question "my friends are having a picnic at the playground today it'll be just me you and a few others not a huge thing I was wondering if you wanna come ?" His expression became fainter like he just let out the biggest breath of air "yeah sure what time ?" "Like 5:30" "that works for me I'll see you there" he grabbed his bag and waved me bye.
