LUCAS'S POV

I was pacing back and forth while continuously calling Luke, its already noon and I haven't heard from him, where the f**k is he?

"Lucas stop pacing back and forth for god's sake!! I am one second behead from kicking you out from here." Dad exclaimed in annoyance while massaging his temples, while I sighed heavily,sat on the couch and dialed Luke's number once again.

I cut the call and threw my phone on the couch and started pacing once again.

"Lucas,son I know that you are stressed and worried, I am distressed as well but pacing around won't do any good for us and please enlighten me one thing,Why are we not informing Elijah about this? " Dad tried to console me, however I particularly wasn't interested in listening to anything except for any news related to Luke and I huffed tiredly at his question.

"Because Eli has an important case's hearing today. This is the final hearing and I can't divert his attention. He may not be fond of Luke but he still cares for him and not to forget about the fact that Eli will definitely guess about my worries. That will surely distract him. I don't want to do that,he has to win this case,his proofs and evidences are strong enough to beat that famous lawyer, this is a golden opportunity for him ." I explained to Dad and his eyes softened at the reason and he stood up from his swivel chair walked near me and lovingly patted on my shoulder.

"You are a good friend Lucas but why are we not asking for Sanvi's help ? She know-"

"No Dad, Sanvi is already over-working and not to forget that she looks like a living zombie, if I inform her that her bestfriend is nowhere to be found from yesterday night then... No Dad we cannot, she is already weary we cannot add more stress on her. Moreover she promised me that she will take a day off tomorrow, if I inform her about this, then she for sure will take a day off now and start searching for Luke rather than resting. No we can't involve her in this." I informed Dad about my reasons and Dad all of a sudden hugged me. I was stunned for a second then eventually hugged him back.

"You are a good husband too Lucas along with a good son,good boss,bestfriend and an elder brother. I am so proud of you." Dad praised me and we parted from the hug, I felt contented after listening to his words and I would have been elated if Luke wasn't missing.

"Dad do you think she did something to Luke? " I asked in distraught and saw Dad's soft demeanour vanishing, his face twisted in rage,his eyes burning in fury and his jaw clenched. I cursed myself for mentioning about that women and hastily apologised to Dad.

"I am so sorry Dad, I was simply being pessimistic. I--"

"Don't apologise Lucas,I understand." Dad cut off my rambling and patted my shoulder and went to sit on his chair. I sighed in relief and was about to start pacing once again when my phone rang.
