"Ummm guys, I don't mean to point out the obvious, but we definitely should not be here." I know I wasn't exactly the first person to be trying to lecture others on breaking the law, but it felt different now that we were adults.
It felt like at any moment we were going to hear a "Hey!" behind us and be taken away to the dog house. "Cmon Mars-Bar, don't be such a party pooper!" Sasha said with a smile, as she tried to unlock the door to the old equipment storage.
"This is illegal! I don't think I need to explain to you two how if we got caught as adults it'd turn out way worse for us than when we did stupid stuff as kids."
Anne snickered in response and retorted, "Last time we did something illegal as kids, we ended up becoming gods, so that argument doesn't really phase me. Besides," they kicked at the door right next to the handle, prompting it to fly open and hit the wall with a loud thud, knocking something over, "It's not like we're vandalizing anything, we just wanted to play some tennis is all!"
My eyes widened and I pointed at the now busted door frame, "That! That IS vandalism, you destroyed private property!" Sasha and Anne entered the storage for a few moments, before emerging with two tennis rackets and a tube of tennis balls. I'm not sure why they never bothered to clean out this storage shed, it was jam packed with perfectly usable sports equipment.
"And?" Sasha said with a snort. "When did you become a stickler for the law? Look, we'll only be here for 20 minutes max. And then we'll leave!" I folded my arms and shot a stern look at both of them. The fact that neither of them were afraid of the consequences of this kind of behavior was shocking to say the least. But if I'm being honest, I was liking it a little too much
Something about being where we had seen each other every day all those years ago felt so... melancholic. I was having trouble denying that this would be loads of fun, but I tried to be reasonable. "15 minutes, no more."
Sasha's hand shot up and she stuck her thumb out, giving me the OK. "You got it boss! 17 minutes and then we go!" They both sprinted off to the tennis court before I could shout at them, but I couldn't help but laugh. This was so like them, and it was refreshing to see them act childish for a change.
I speedwalked to catch up with them at the court, seeing that both of them had shed their jackets. Anne wore a tank top underneath, very obviously coming prepared for the match.
Sasha was the one that I had always considered to be disgustingly strong, but Anne was very toned herself. I wasn't sure if they still played tennis or if their body just looked like that, but either way my eyes were loving it.
I glanced over to Sasha to see her stretching, in a gray crop top and biker shorts. I had to force myself to look away from her to avoid looking like a creep, but my god was it difficult. Every part of her body was muscular, and the skin tight shorts really showed that off.
Was I really trying to talk them out of this? What a fool I was, now I see the merit in trespassing and destroying private property.
Being that I wasn't exactly the athletic type, I figured I'd just let these two spar with one another. I certainly didn't mind watching.
