After putting away my books into my locker, I shut the door and nearly jump out of my skin as I realize someone has been standing behind it waiting for me.
Wow. That sounded really creepy, but then again it was pretty scary. Now my heart was racing and not in a good way.
I slap Austin in the chest, not hard enough to hurt him of course, "Don't sneak up on me like that".
He just smirks with amusement in his eyes, I glare at him, "What do you want?", I ask before he can respond.
He crosses his arms across his chest loosely as he leans on the lockers, looking at me with his signature smile that makes every girl turn to a puddle at his feet, except for me of course, "You".
I start to laugh at the cheesiness of that comment. I should reword my question next time. He stares at me with amusement as I laugh.
I start to sober up, and wipes fake tears from my eyes, "Oh, that was a good one. Does that normally work on all the girls?".
"Well normally girls don't turn me down, but if you must know, yes, it does."
I roll my eyes at him and pulls my bag over my shoulders. "Hmm you must be losing your touch then", I smile sweetly at him and pats his arm before walking away.
I hear his footsteps following me, then feels an arm wrap around my shoulders as he falls into step with me. I glance in his direction and rolls my eyes.
Has he really not gotten the picture? I look at him again, my eyes scan him up and down as he doesn't look at me. His arm feels really good around my sh- Wait, what? Did I really just think that.
I look straight again and shrugs out of his arm before turning to him, "What will it take to get you to leave me alone?"
He answers immediately, "Go out with me, Friday night after the game".
I sigh and nods, "Okay, now can I go to class?", I gesture down the hall with my hand exasperated.
He smiles wide, obviously happy that he finally won. I promise myself then that I won't let him win again. His ego is big enough without me giving into him whenever he wants. This is the last time.
"Of course", he says. Taking my outstretched hand and kissing the back of it gently as he looks up at me, then he walks away in the other direction.
I blush bright red as I stare after him. Completely confused by the gesture. Austin isn't chivalrous, I have never seen him act like that with any other girl. I'm probably just overthinking this. Yep, that's exactly what I'm doing. I can't let him get under my skin.
I turn away and head to class, trying to erase any thoughts of Austin Jones from my mind.

Austin's POV
After walking away from Becca, I smile triumphantly. I have finally gotten her to agree to a date with me. Of course, I have never had to try so hard to get a date, but, hey, I got the date.
I notice my buddy, Matt, standing next to my locker, so I walk over to him. I know exactly why he is here and I can't help, but smirk at the fact that I am one step closer to winning the bet.
He looks at me expectantly, I nod my head, "Its done".
"Man, I must say I'm shocked. You can do everything, huh?"
I shrug, smug at the fact that I did what most guys can't do, get a date with Rebecca Miller. I know it was jerk move to make the bet in the first place, but my reputation was started to be tested. She was the only girl in this school that hasn't given me the time of day. After the game on Friday night, Matt noticed her bump into me and walk away. He had come to me laughing. That's the night we came up with the bet. I obviously can't let him show me up.
