On stepping out of the Queen's room, Lee gan finds his entourage waiting for him outside. Eunuch Baek and Sadam both step behind him with the rest of his entourage as they follow him outside.
Lee gan suddenly faltered as her stepped into the Queen’s courtyard, his people calls out to him frightened and tried to move closer to him but he stopped them with him signaling to them stay back
He closes his eyes trying to block out the scene that keeps playing in his head but to no avail. Trying so hard to put a stop to the pain in his heart but all efforts futile
The large mahogany door of the temple flies up as he hurriedly goes in, he sees Kang il gook raise his sword up. Every sense of reasoning flies away from him at that instance as he sees the love of his life been slashed with a sword with her blood splashing everywhere as she goes down
Lee gan panted heavily as he looked up at the deep dark sky with the golden silver stars decorating it
“Bring me the physician” he commanded
“Yes, Jeonha” Eunuch Baek responded immediately. He looked at Sadam wearily, subtlety asking him to take care of their King and the guard nodded his head, getting his voiceless message and then the short eunuch hurried away
After few minutes of looking into nothing, Lee gan starts to walk, his entourage immediately follows him.
After walking in a certain direction that leads to his quarters, then he suddenly turned into another pathway which leads away from his palace. Sadam looked at the pathway that leads to the king’s quarter and looked at the direction his King is going, he closed his eyes for a moment and signed deeply, knowing where the King is heading to He hastened his steps to meet Lee gan who walked hurriedly as his white silk garment floated in the air
“Jeonha, you are not prepared for training” he told his King but the man ignored them and continued walking and seconds later, he entered into the training ground and grabbed a sword from the sword shed the moment he entered. Sadam stopped the court ladies from following him and Lee gan moved to the centre of the training ground swing his sword
Painful voice floats in his head as he took another swing
“Wang bi, please” a frantic younger Lee gan held a younger Doyeon who had blood coming out of her mouth. She raised her blood stained hand to touch his face as a form of comfort. As she tried to say a word, she coughed out more blood
He screamed as he took another swing, moving gracefully on one leg to another as he blandish his sword. The clatter of the piece of the steel in his hand emitted loudly as he rotated 360 degree on his feet gallantly without tumbling
Eunuch Baek arrived shortly with the physician, Dalsae, a young man in his thirties with a sharp face, beautifully sculpted pointed nose, thin lips and an oval face. The young man watched the King bashing his sword angrily and sighed in disappointment as he dropped his head in defeat knowing that he has failed
