The woman coughed up some blood and struggled to say something to Yoake. "I'm so so so sorry! I didn't mean too! I was just so scared! Defensive!" The woman looked at Yoake and nodded her head. "It truly is okay...I knew my fate was to die soon.." The woman smiled. "No! You deserve a longer life! You still need to fall in love! Have a family of your own!" Yoake pulled the katana out and placed it down as its glow died. The woman let out a couple more words and breaths. "Listen to me...your children will be the last of this families bloodline...I cannot explain why because I will die before I may finish..." Yoake got up and tried to look for a med kit. "When I die...tell them I came here seeking for help after being stabbed by my crazy husband...hide your katana.." Yoake came over and opened the med kit and pulled things out. "My husband was abusive anyways...I know you freaked out....its okay...just make them arrest my husband and have them bury me.." The woman's eyes closed and her heart stopped beating. "No! No I can't lose you like this!" she fell to her knees, she felt like she lost everything. She felt like her breath was knocked out of her body. "No, you didn't just die did you.." Yoake began to shed tears. The sun rose and lit the room as she clenched her hands. "I will lay you to rest so you can live happily where you belong...home in heaven. I truly didn't mean to hurt you, you just spooked me." days passed and Yoake attended the woman's funeral. She felt an overwhelming weight of grief on her back. Days went by and Yoake hasn't been going to work. She lost hope in everything she's ever cherished. She spent her days inside. A month passes and the boy she met when she first moved was knocking on her door. Yoake answered the door. "Hey Yoake, I came to check on you since no ones been seeing you as often anymore, whats up?" Yoake looks at Akira and shuts the door. Her voice muffled behind the door. "What do you want from me?" Yoake sat down and closed her eyes in frustration. "I just wanna talk okay..?" Akira looked through the peep hole hoping to see Yoake. She sat there with a grumpy expression. Akira sat against the door as well and talked to Yoake through the door. "You're gonna be okay, I promise, that woman's death wasn't your fault at all." Yoake looked up at her ceiling and began to cry. "Are you...crying?" Akira said softly as he stood up and placed his hand on the door. Yoake wiped her tears. "No, no I'm fine." Akira asked, "Can I come in?" Yoake sat up and unlocked the door for Akira. She stopped and she walked over to her fridge. "Not right now..." she opened her fridge for something to eat. "Look, I need to ask you something, I know you're not be in the mood but I just want your honest answer." Yoake ate her leftover sushi and listened. "Do you think, I could take you out on a date, if that will make you feel any better?" Yoake dropped her chop sticks and had a blank expression. "I just needed to get that off my chest. But I assume its a no which is totally fine, I just thought I'd ask." He began to walk away. Yoake opened the door instantly and hugged him tightly, her eyes became teary and she buried her face in his coat. He seemed to be surprised. "Yes...yes please...I would enjoy something like that..!" Yoake said with a very shaky tone. He smiled and hugged her back and rubbed her head gently and looked at her. "Look its gonna be okay I promise, I'll make sure you're happy all the time." Yoake looked up at him and smiled as he wiped her tears away and noticed her eye-patch. "Why are you wearing that? Did you get n eye infection!?" Yoake shook her head and laughed a bit. "No no not at all! I just wear it as a reminder this is what my dad gave me when I got a black eye once. I never got rid of it because..." She became emotional again and hugged his coat. "Because it's all I have left of my dad..." He rubbed her head gently and looked at her. "I understand a lot Yoake, I really do." Yoake also smiled and backed off of him before pushing her hair to the side. "So, when are you available for that date?" He asked politely. Yoake blushed "Uhhhhh could we try tomorrow night?" Akira put his hands in his pockets. "Sure, call me when you get the chance okay?" Yoake walked into her room and only her head was poking out, she smiled. "Remember! Tomorrow night at nine!" She pulled her head back into her room and closed the door. Akira also smiled and walked away. "Yes Yoake, I'll remember." Yoake skipped off to her room and threw on some comfy PJs. She flopped onto her bed and starred outside and dreamed of her first date. It was the next morning and Yoake woke up. She dug through her closet for her daily clothes. she gasps as she remembers that she forgot to take her morning meds. She quickly take them and runs out of the house.
