3rd person POV

"Useless freak!"

"Get out of our sight, you parasite!"

"Nobody wants you!"

"I wish you were never been born!"

"I wish you weren't my [REDACTED]!"

"Why don't you just take a swan dive off the roof and hope for a [REDACTED] in the next life?!"

"I'm.... sorry... [REDACTED]...."

Green-colored eyes wrenched themselves open as the owner suddenly staggered to her feet, her muzzle gaped slightly as she panted.

Taking in her surroundings, she noticed there was an abundance of trees as far as she could see.

It took a moment, but the she-wolf's pulse finally calmed down to a normal pace before she remembered what happened.

People yelling at her; being punched and kicked by her peers; going up to the roof after school ended; then blood and pain....

A loud growling noise filled the air as her stomach made it's presence known.

She winced; she needed food. And soon.

The good thing about being a wolf is that they can last longer than a human when it comes to not eating.

Doesn't mean that she can last forever, though....

It had already been almost a week since she turned into this and her stomach is beginning to rebel against her.

Following her nose, she let her paws take her to where she was sure a city was nearby. Perhaps she'll get some luck with food by visiting a few dumpstere behind some restaurants...

It has only been two weeks since she became.... this.

Not that she's complaining.

Her previous life was a hellish nightmare. Worse than this one...

The lone wolf shoved her unpleasant memories down in favor of focusing on satisfying her hunger, if only until she gets the hang of hunting. While she at first was reluctant to consume raw meat, she found that it was an adjustment she had to make to survive. And it is not like she could start a fire to cook it....

Though she doesn't have to worry about being picky about how she wants her steak since she can now consume it from super-rare all the way to well-done. Though she does prefer them to be extra juicy and sometimes the blood adds more flavor. So having to consume uncooked meat wasn't as bad as she originally thought it would be.

At least now she doesn't have to worry about getting salmonella like she did when she was still human....

As for things like kibble and sometimes canned dog food.... well the last time she tried a bite of either of that slop, she ended up throwing it up. How could house pets eat that crap?! Its not even fit for.... well, dogs.

A few hours later, she had hit up the back of several restaurants, with no luck in finding any food. Either the dumpsters were empty or there were strays already fighting for scraps, and she was in no shape nor condition to try and fight someone just for a measly morsel.

She then wondered out of town and was now what looked to be some sort of schoolyard. There weren't any humans around so maybe she can pass through and not worried about being hit or screamed at.
