Alora

I took out my diary and started writing in it.

'It had been 2 weeks since I started hanging out with Silas. After what happened at my house, we have become close friends. He accompanies me home almost every day and we have a really good friendship. I like our friendship.

But I have noticed a few things with him. Like when he gets nervous, he always looks down and pulls his hand through his hair. And how his eyes light up when I talk about cats. He's said he likes black or brown cats and I totally agree with him.

He told how he likes nirvana and that he can play electric guitar. After he said that, I can tell you that I felt something for him. He is also very nice and handsome. And after these 2 weeks, I think I have started to like him.

But I'm not going to say anything about it. Not today at least. Because today we have decided that we are going to the mall. He's coming here in about 30 minutes and we'll go there. He offered to drive there.'

I put down my black pen next to me and closed the book. After that, I hurried to get ready.

I wore a big blue knitted sweater with a pair of blue jeans that were a bit baggy. Then I put on a pair of black converse.

I did my usual make-up and it took me 10 minutes to make the eyeliner perfect. Then I put on some silver jewelry, brushed my teeth and hurried down so I was ready to go.

After 20 minutes, I heard the doorbell ring. I hurried out and was almost colliding with Silas.
He caught me before I could fall.

His head was very close to mine and I could feel his breath. He helped me up and I gave him a really big hug. I love hugs.

He hesitated a bit at first but then he hugged me back. I laughed a little and started walking to his black car.

He jumped in the car too and started driving. It takes an hour for us to get to the mall, so it was a long way there.

cranked down the car window and stuck out my hand. I could feel the wind through my fingers and my hair flew back.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath and then exhaled again.

Next to me I could feel Silas' eyes on me. I opened my eyes again and turned my head to the left so I
looked at him. He was already looking at me, and I gave him a big smile. He smiled back.

Then he looked out at the road again. I continued to smile and turned on the radio. I sat on clint eastwood and sang along.

Then I took a pair of sunglasses that lay between us and used it as a mic and started singing louder.
