But Leo...

Sophia's P.O.V

I switched places with Charlie that night and I had the air bed whilst leo and Charlie stay up on their phones replying to bambinos on twitter, I lay there in guilt because I haven't told leo the honest truth and I hate lying to him because he is the only one that has been there for me throughout everything we've both been through, we were there to hold each others hands and I don't know how he will feel if he finds out I've been lying to him.

Half of me is saying to myself 'but he won't find out' the other half is wondering how much longer I can keep it from him.

...

I check the time and it's almost 2am, the boys are both asleep and I've been up all this time worrying, how is it possible that I'm letting one person control me?? Esme needs to realise me and leo have been friends for years and nothing she can do will separate us and she can't have Charlie by hurting others to get what she wants.

I wake up in the morning to find leo sitting up staring at the floor, I go over and sit next to him.

"Leo what's wrong"

"Sophia, do you even need to ask" he says back.

"Yes" I say puzzled.

"I know your keeping something from me Sophia, I know something's going on and I just want to help, we've always told each other everything and I know we haven't seen each other for ages but that shouldn't change anything" he says through tears.

I look away and say " leo it's nothing"

"Ok" he gets up and walks out the room.

"But leo"... I cry.

"If your not going to tell me I can't help you" he says sadly.

He leaves me sitting in his room, staring at the walls and the posters of his fans and wondering why I didn't tell him.

*new text*

I check my phone,

' Sophia, Sophia Sophia guess what!!' - esme

'what'? I reply, slightly scared of what's happening next, as if things between me and leo couldn't get any worse.

' I told my mum how unfair it was that you can see leo and I can't so she contacted Leo's mum, they used to be friends when we were in primary and then once I have leo I have Charlie' - Esme

Typical Esme.

Using someone just to get to someone else, I can almost hear her saying all that in an evil tone.

I reply,

'you can't use someone to get to someone else'

'Watch me' - Esme

My heart stands pounding, I start shaking at the thought of her hurting leo like that.

I get dressed and put some makeup on, my face is pale as a sheet.

I walk downstairs and Vicky offers to make me some toast.

" thankyou but I'm not feeling too well"

"Oh sweetie what's wrong" Vicky replies, feeling my forehead to check my temperature.

"just feel sick"

" get some rest today then, you can have Tilly's room if you like because she's got horse riding today" Vicky says sweetly.

I turn to Tilly and she gives me an adorable little smile.

As I walk towards the door I hear Tilly ask Vicky "mum wheres leo and charlie"?

" Charlie went shopping with his mum and leo went to meet up with a girl that wanted to get back into contact with him sweetheart" says Vicky, "anyway eat up your breakfast, the toast will get cold"

My stomach turns as I know exactly who leo has met up with, I should have just told him before he started to meet up with Esme omg, my head starts pounding and I cling onto the door, the last thing I hear is Vicky rushing over to me before I hit the ground, hard.
