Necrophobia: an extreme fear of dead things and things associated with death.
I sat down for a few hours trying to fully comprehend and accept the truth until I panicked, realising that I need to get wood and basic supplies. I mine a few bits of wood and made an axe to break the trees quicker.
I continue mining trees for a bit before I hearing a noise and flinch at the sudden sound. A few seconds later it happens again and again and I finally realise that the noise was coming from a chicken that was behind one of the trees. Looking at the animal made me realise just how hungry I was and that, without food, I would probably not survive the night.
I held my axe and in one hit I killed it just as I, or rather (y/n), had done hundreds of times.
I felt immeasurable guilt and couldn't look at the animal that was once was living, it scared me. I cried and backed away from the animal corps until I felt something spiky. I panicked thinking it was a skeleton until realising that there was still about an hour of light left before mobs would be able to start spawning. I looked down and saw that the spiky thing I felt was some sweet berrys.
I calmed down slightly "it's ok. I don't have to kill anything else, I can have these berrys. I'm ok," I said trying to reassure myself.
I gathered berrys from the bushes and just as I was about to leave I heard an almost inaudible noise. I turned around and saw a tiny baby chicken.
No, I killed it's- I couldn't even finish the thought before feeling sick. I knew I had to take it in. This was my fault and it wouldn't survive on its own. It looked like it had just barely opened its eyes, "Hey little guy, come here," I said trying to find something it might like, "look I got some nice seeds."
The chicken slowly walked up to me and cautiously started eating the seeds out of my hands. "Awww are you still hungry, do you want some more?" I asked and the chicken responded with a stare, "come on let's gather some more berrys and seeds."
45 minutes later I had gathered enough berrys and seeds to last a few days. The baby chicken also got tired so I carried it in my arms and continued walking. "I really need to give you a name, I mean, I can't keep calling you chicken can I," I said looking down at the almost asleep animal, "I don't want it to be a normal name like Steve or Alex so what about... Plucky yeah that's a nice name for you," I said happily.
The chicken was unaware of what I said, regardless, it seemed like it agreed and responded with a small chirp. He sounds so young, I thought to myself listening to Plucky chirp happily despite what happened less than an hour before. Looks like he has imprinted on me.
I continue to walk and carry Plucky with me for a few minutes before I come across a weird area that looks like a box or house with no roof that's made with a mixture of cobblestone, dirt and a little bit of wood and obsidian. "Why would anyone make something like this in the middle of a forest?" I asked myself quietly.
Suddenly, Plucky looked very awake and stared off in the distance, focusing on something. "Huh, what's wrong. Did you see something?" I asked, looking in the same direction that Plucky was focused on and saw a blur of bright green before it vanish behind a tree.
"What was that," was the only thing I said before hearing a hiss behind me. I turned around instantly to see an aggravated spider near ready to attack. I held Plucky closer to me with one arm while I held an axe in the other, but, despite the thing in front of me being a mob that was fully prepared to attack and kill me, I couldn't bring myself to do anything to it so, I ran as fast as I could.
I ran for minutes that felt like hours trying to avoid mobs, but, with the sun completely set, I couldn't see far and I lost all sense of what direction I was going.
I quickly found myself back at the now mob infested box again. I was so hungry I couldn't run but I also couldn't slow down to eat because of the mobs hunting me down. I eventually had to try and eat, but when I did I heard a hiss getting louder and coming closer to me, not from a spider this time, but a creeper.
I held Plucky close to shield him from the explosion but the force was more powerful than expected and it left me heavily injured. To make things worse, I saw a skeleton appear from behind a tree as the flashback replayed I'm my mind. "Help me. Anyone. Help," I said as I saw the skeleton ready it's bow.
I closed my eyes preparing for the inevitable but instead of feeling the pain from an arrow and death again, I heard a clatter of bones falling to the ground. I opened my eyes and watched as someone in an almost neon green hoodie killed all the mobs around me until the mixture of pain and shock became too much and I passed out.
