he tried to talk to me...

He struggled with words. You could hear the "i- a- well- i- i- uh-" but not full sentences. Finally, after about 15 seconds he said,

"thank you! I shoulda been more careful."

This sent me back, apologizing to ME? I should apologize! I felt the symptoms of love. Why though? Damn that felt so weird!

"oh, your fine..." I read the label on of his books, "will byers?"

Will flinches a bit, then realizes it's from the books. "Okay... I have no clue what your name it." He laughs slightly.

I reach my arm out for a handshake. "Dylan Harrington."

He shakes it. I felt tiny flowers blooming when our hands meet. I looked at his face, it looked the same way I felt. Is it happening for him too? Of course not, I'm the only gay person here, right? He awkwardly let go of hands.

"Is Steve Harrington your brother?"

"Yeah."

"Oh, that's so cool! He's so nice and cool and amazing! He never talked about you though..."

This sent me back, huh? I couldn't tell if it's because he thinks Steve is a fucking god or if it's the fact that Steve never talks about me yet he is all talk about how I'm the greatest brother. Well your the greatest liar!

"Oh, yeah he's great." Thanks for your lying lessons, "and I'm not very interesting. There's no reason for him to talk about me." I shrug

"He said he was an only child."

My eye started to twitch, then it was my whole face. What? Only child? I was there for him when no one else was, and he was the same for me. Well, it was all a big ruse then.

"Oh, don't worry! It was probably a day you two were having a fight. You seem great!"

Will turns out to be a great comforter. I calm down a bit. "You're right. Thanks."

He turned pink, huh? I don't know social cues. "oh, mhm. If you don't mind me asking, what's your schedule?"

I take out my paper in which I wrote it down on. He took his out
