The rest of the day was a nightmare. Luckily I only had one class with Draco, but every time I saw him in the hallway I could only think about two things: the two times he had kissed me and the fact that we were supposed to be studying in the library tonight...alone. together.

"Hey Hermione" Luna's voice broke me from my trance, I turned around as she wheeled towards me.

"Hey Luna!" I smiled. "I can't believe we don't have any classes together. I've missed you, we should hang out sometime. Like tonight." I suggest, desperately hoping she would agree. "Actually I'm hanging out with Neville tonight, sorry." Luna says as she wheels by me on the way to her class. Drat!

Before I thought it was even possible, it was dinner time. I sat at the Gryffindor table, picking at my food and half listening to Harry and Dean's conversation.

"Hermione?" A smoky voice murmured from behind me. I didn't need to turn around to know who it was, Harry and Dean's expressions said it all. Dean looked positively terrified and Harry was angry, very angry.

"What do you want Malfoy?" He said, in a stone cold tone. I turned around expecting to see Draco scowling at him, but he wasn't. Draco appeared completely calm and confident.

"Good evening" Draco said to me, as if Harry hasn't even spoken. Harry's eyes practically bulged out of his head.

"hi." I respond.

"Ready to go?" He asks, raising an eyebrow. I look back at Harry for a moment before responding.

"Sure, let's go." Harry doesn't stop us, but I feel his glare burning a hole in the back of my head on the way out and the message is clear. I do not approve. I turn around and flash him a look that clearly says. I don't care. As we make our way down the hallway, Draco leads the way and I follow close by his side.

"I thought he was going to bite your head off." I murmur.

"That might have been entertaining." Draco chuckles.

I laugh along with him, without thinking about it.

"Thanks." I say, sincerely. "For not picking a fight with him."

"No problem."He murmurs and a small smile plays on his lips. Not the famous Malfoy smirk, but a real Draco smile. My favorite smile.

We continue walking in comfortable silence for a few moments before I noticed that we're not walking in the direction of the library.

"Aren't we studying in the library?" I asked, confused. Draco paused for a moment before answering.

"Well I thought that we could just study in our common room, since our school work is already up there anyways."

"oh." I mutter, there's also absolutely no one else in there!

"Is that okay?"

"Yeah, sure." I said calmly, pretty impressive considering the fact that I definitely was not calm.

"cool." He seems sort of relieved. "Thanks for agreeing to study with me."

"Sure." I squeak out. Once we reach the door to our common room we both pause as if wondering whether the other one was going to say the password

"....Albus." I murmer quietly. the door swings open and we both step in. I want to say something that will rid us of the silence, but there is only one thought in my head. Draco Malfoy kissed me in this room.

"so do you want to work on one of your projects first or one of mine?"

" I don't get it. Isn't that supposed to be monkshood?"
