The moon begun to shine brighter in the night sky as the bus trotted through the silent air that hung as a uncomfortable grasp on one's shoulder. The amount of people on the bus thinned than grew again, thinned and repeat. With only a few stops left before Ellie's departure Alice became irritated. She had been waiting for something to happen, but him and Ellie had sat silently like the air outside during the whole bus ride ; Alice was going to change that. She would not stand for this bullshit.
When Ellie's stop was about two stops away which equates to about.... 20 more minutes (At least in this type of traffic) that would be enough for her plan to work, well to at least give her the satisfaction she desired.

Finally, when the time come she was ready, and  she wasn't going to mess this up, I mean the likeliness of that happening wasn't far from zero, after all she was the relationship master.

(~Decided to put two povs in this one because it's too short lol~)

Ellie's POV

We had sat silently the whole time and I was I had just been staring at the ground.
I'm pathetic.
I should be able to sit up straight as a normal person would and start small chat, ask him how his day was, like anything! But no I hold my bag close to my chest hunch over and watch the floor of the bus as if it was paint drying.
I hadn't noticed how empty the bus was and didn't take note of the people leaving and entering meaning I had no idea of my surroundings which is opposite to my normal self. Normally I'm too alert to my surroundings I often take long panelled looks around when I turn a corner.
Being sat next to him is screwing with my head, not that I care but...
You know what never mind.

Suddenly a voice boomed, bouncing across the metallic walls of the bus, shaking me awake,

"Elliii aren't you going to say something"

This was the voice of only one person, Alice.
That relationship crazed women, and though she was ,up beat, fun to be around and always having the best stories to tell, I knew that today I would be the butt of her next scandal.

I was hesitant to respond, and just curled closer to my bag as if she had got the wrong person, I knew this wouldn't work but if I just pretended I wasn't here maybe she would shut up.

Unluckily this is Alice we are talking about, and the one sided conversation continued,

"Ellie it's not kind to ignore your elders"

Now I could feel eyes on me, not many, but ones that seared into my back as if they were trying to give me a slave mark. He didn't look at me though, which I saw as lucky but deep down kinda hurt, another paper cut on my heart.

Slowly I raised my head faking a small yawn definitely in sight of her mirror, I could almost feel the eye roll from the front of the bus. Again I stopped my head halfway raised because I could see him in the corner of my eye though I tried to look towards the front of the bus. His back towards me as he watched the slow world pass before him, I wanna take a pic.

My cheeks flushed up again and I jumped back
with one quick movement to sit up straight, looking straight , acting straight, let's just say I'm pretty straight.

Coincidentally this caused him to turn his head to look at me, he looked confused, unsure, handsome, fearful and curious all at the same time. I found myself struggling to keep my eyes facing forwards.

Once again the booming voice rattled the inside of the bus,

"Elliiii say something"

It was like the nagging voice of a starved teenager.
And I had no choice but to respond so embarrassingly I mumbled the words out after a long and disgusting pause,

"Yeah what..."

I had spoke so quietly I doubt even he could have heard me, i looked down in obvious shame, my hair getting ridiculously caught at the corner of my lip, me not bothering to brush it away as I normally would.

"She probs didn't hear you, y'know"

What?

I slowly looked upwards to see the one which had spoken to the broken looking me, I was met with a whole lotta sparkles that seemed to dance around his face,

he had spoken to me!
