Hermione was curled up in an armchair in her living room. The October sun was disappearing and was being replaced with stars and the bright moon. It had been a nice day out, despite the breeze that made it colder out.

Hermione was inside wearing one of Ron's knitted sweater from his mom. It was colorful with red, yellow, green, and mostly orange. The big "R" on it was right above the small bump on Hermione's stomach.

She couldn't take it. He had been gone for four days now and he should be back soon. She knew he told her three to four days, but the day was ending, and the wait was killing her.

Her hand was lying on her bump as she thought about the doctor's appointment that she and Ron had tomorrow. It had been planned before the announcement of the mission. They were one month away from knowing the gender, as she was four months pregnant.

There was a sudden crack from outside the house, snapping Hermione from her thoughts. She grabbed her wand and slowly and quietly got up. As she approached the front door, she heard a muffled voice that said, "Alohomora!"

The door opened and in walked a man in a black cloak with its hood up. He took off his hood, revealing his red hair.

"Ron!" Hermione shrieked, her face lighting up and she ran to him.

"'Mione!" he yelled happily as she threw her arms around him. He hugged her and she kissed him and he kissed her back. He put one hand on her low back and the other on the bump between them.

Hermione suddenly broke the kiss.

"Ronald Billius Weasley, don't you ever do that to me again!" she scolded him.

"I came back in the time I said I would, didn't I?" Ron asked.

"I don't care," she said, lying her head on his chest. He began soothingly stroking her hair as a quiet tear fell down her face. "I missed you." She said it so quietly he almost didn't hear her.

"I missed you, too, 'Mione," he whispered. He let go of her and crouched down so he was level with her stomach. "And you too, little one," he said softly. He lifted up the sweater so it was just above the small bump. It wasn't very big, but it was there. He kissed it softly before standing up again.

Now, Hermione was smiling and the few tears falling down her cheek were small tears of joy. She kissed him, still smiling during the kiss.

"I love you, Ron."

"I love you, too, Hermione."

Sorry that it's so short. I just started writing and didn't have the whole plot planned out when I started. It's also supposed to be short and sweet.
