That Night

Kakucho POV

'Thoughts'

"Talking"

Flashback 7 years back

"Are you sure this is the last place he was seen?"

I was standing in the parking lot of a convenience store with Sanzu, Ran, and Hanma. The ground was still wet as it had just rained, and it was night.

"Ok, but you better be right this time."

It sounded like Ran had just finished talking to his brother on the phone.

"He said this was the right place, so we just need to look around."

"Let's split up," Sanzu said before walking away.

I went my own way, leaving the parking lot to look somewhere else. I turned at the corner at the stop sign and continued walking.

'I wonder who's going around causing all this trouble, perhaps someone new to the underworld and how things work. I mean you don't just go around beating people up for no reason if you have experience in this sort of thing for obvious reasons.'

I looked around for people or something that could lead us to him, but I didn't see anything. Suddenly I heard my phone ring, it was Sanzu.

"Hello?"

"I found him."

"What?"

"I said I found him, or at least I think it's him get your ass to the playground across the street to the right of the convenience store."

"Are you serious? Did you find him?"

I heard a beep signaling that he had hung up on me.

"Rude."

I start walking over to the location Sanzu had spoken about.

'I wonder if he found him.'

I soon find the playground that Sanzu was talking about and see him standing by the entrance. I can see Hanma standing next to him, but I don't see anyone.

"Hey, why are you just standing here, where is he?"

They didn't say anything Hanma just pointed. I looked where he was pointing, and I could not believe my eyes. What I saw was Takemichi crying while beating the shit out of people.

I blinked once.

Then twice.

'Is this for real?'

I rub my eyes and pinch myself just to make sure.

'It's real.'

No wonder they were speechless it was an amazing sight. We had heard rumors of someone beating people up indiscriminately and causing trouble. Which was the reason we came out here in the first place, but who would've thought that the person would be Takemichi

Out of everyone you could possibly think of to do this kind of thing Takemichi would probably be one of the last on the list if not the last.

It was Takemichi against six people probably twice his size, and none of them were able to touch him who knew the crybaby would become so strong. A little while after I came, Ran arrived, and he had the same reaction as I did. We all just stood there watching the show.

After observing for a while, I noticed some things, first was that Takemichi seemed to be in pain while he was fighting when he managed to shoo one of them away he would grab his head while groaning. The second was that he seemed afraid of them because he would get a look of panic whenever one of them tried to get close to him, and then he'd either kick or punch them.

At first glance, it'd look like he was on the defensive. Then when he managed to get the person away he'd beat them up violently. We continued to watch deciding to not disturb him until he was finished. We then carefully approached him as we had all noticed the weird way he was fighting. When we got closer to him we could hear him speaking.

"It hurts."

That's all he said, repeatedly, then he passed out amongst the people he beat up, and there was a thick silence. Sanzu went ahead and carefully picked him up.

"Well, that isn't something you see every day. The rumors were true, but I never expected it to be that crybaby."

Hanma broke the silence.

"Yeah, the kid could barely fight before," Ran said.

Sanzu is silent while holding Takemichi in his arms and staring at him. Honestly, who knows what goes on in that crazy guy's head.

"We should start to head back now, Ran call your brother and tell him we found the person we were looking for."

"Since when were you my boss, Kaku."

He still takes out his phone and calls his brother anyway. While he's on his phone we start to walk back to our hideout.

Time skip to the hideout.

"We're back~"
