Sometimes you just gotta force people to be your friends

First day of school is always nerve-wracking but having two of those in the same school year is even worse.

My parents left me in front of the school doors , towering above me I pushed using my whole body to open it.

A deep creak was heard from the door making me jump slightly.

Closing it the only sound was the echo from my steps in the empty corridor

Why was no one around ?
What time is it?

I didnt have a clock and with the dawning realisation that I might easily be late, I started walking quickly, hoping my classroom was close.

Thankfully soon enough I found room number 8 and knocked

After a bit of silence a soft voice spoke
" Come in"
Carefully I turned the handle,
pushing open the door and looking around all kids were seated looking curiously at me
I walked through the small classroom and up to the teacher

" You must be the new kid" she said smiling at me causing some of the anxiety to fade, this might not be this bad I told myself

I nodded and she prompted me to share something about myself
turning to the rest of the kids I gave my best smile and waved " I'm Kieru Hitoshine" I said voice slightly wavering at the end and before I was able to say I'm happy to meet them the teacher asked the dawning question

"And what's your quirk Kieru?"

it was still with that sweet tone and nice smile but this time, it made me shake
anxiety once again filling up in my tummy gulping I spoke again
" I...I don't have one"

repeating to myself
that that's not something to let myself be ashamed about
I quickly forced myself to rise my head up

But then I saw the looks the kids were giving me.

As if trying to burn me with their eyes.

I reminded myself some of them may be able to do that.

Looking back at the teacher
hoping her smile might calm me down
I was met with the same cold stare

"Take a seat Hitoshine, we have to continue the lesson you interrupted"

Nodding quickly,
I clenched my shaking hands into fists starting to walk down the row

Eyes were staring holes into me
all but one pair.

A girl was sitting on one of the last desks head down,
limbs tightly staying by her body.

Someone scared to look at me was better than someone that's giving me the look of a murderer
so I sat down by her.

Turning I gave her a smile and whispered offering my hand
" Hey I'm Kieru wanna be friends ?"
I asked keeping my upbeat tone
as she finally looked at me
even if her expression was pretty confused looking between my hand and face,
she had pretty eyes
fair blue, blonde eye lashes framing them.

A second later still weary she took my hand shaking it carefully
"I'm Chikyu Kaze" she said carefully
I just pulled her hand holding it tighter
"Well Kaze were gonna be good friends"

"HITOSHINE QUIET"

Later that night a weird man came home
He said he wanted to welcome us into the community
Explained its a tight one
That everyone were supposed to take care of each other
After all were the same kind
With those words he gave me a weird look, as if he was dissecting me to check how I work
I didn't pay attention
I was concentrated on his nose
How long and pointy it was
I remember how much I wanted to hit it
curious if it'll waggle around afterwards.
