Then when he passed through the coffee plantations he saw Khao working in the fields. But, it looked like someone from the city was paying them a visit. When enquired, he got to know that it was a company who was buying their coffee. But Wei noticed that they were cheating the villagers, where they were taking more coffee and paying half the actual amount. Since the villagers were uneducated, Wei decided to interfere and question the buyers and ask them about this scam. But during the confrontation one of the buyers men gets angry for exposing their cheat and he swungs a machete towards Wei. He barely dodges it but gets a cut in the arm.

Due to the interference the buyers angrily walks away without paying any money for the coffee and swores to never make business with them again. Villagers again get angry towards Wei for making them lose their income.

"I did a favor. Those people were cheating on you villagers. They were paying you less than the actual cost of the product. They were scamming you"

"We would not have minded even if they were cheating or paying less. They were our only source of income. Now how will I place food on my family's table. We will starve."

Fui takes Wei to the village clinic where he meets the doctor Yichen.

"How did you get hurt?"

"I was defending the villagers and got hurt"

Fui tells the doctor the whole situation and nods understandably. "You cannot be angry at the villagers for being against you Mr Wei. They were right on their own place. That was their only source of income. Now that is lost as well" said the doctor.

"There are so many others who wants to buy coffee. They can just find a new buyer"

"Mr Wei, this village is very far from any city. No one in their right mind would come this far and buy coffee. They found this buyer by chance who was kind enough to pay enough for the villagers to fill their stomach. That was enough for them. But now....."

Just then Yunlan walks in "You cannot sit tight without making any mess?"

"Yunlan stop berating my patient"

"Just wrap his arm fast I need to drop him home"

"I will go with Fui, I do not want to come with you" Wei said angrily.

"He has work of his own. He cannot always run behind you and save your ass all the time"

Wei was bursting with rage. He just sat there and started to think how he can solve this issue now. Suddenly "I want to make a call. Where can I find a signal here?"

"You can get signal only at the tower."

"Take me to the tower then".......

Once Wei's hand was bandaged, Yunlan took him to the tower in his jeep. Wei hurriedly dialed his bestfriend Shao Lan's number.

"Hello?"

"Lan.."

"Wei?" Came a surprised voice "Is that you?"

"Yes it's me"

"Where the hell have you been? You just disappeared one night. There was no news about you. Do you know how worried your parents are? How worried I am? Where are you currently?"

"I am at a small village called Yumai"

"Stay there I am coming"

"No! Don't come here. I will meet you in the city. I called you because I needed your help"

Just then Yunlan walks in and sits beside Wei. He holds the receiver far away and glares at Yunlan.

"Chief, I am on a call....can you move away"
