When it was too late at night Yunlan suggests to return to the village. Wei was adamant on not taking Shao Lan with him to the village.

"Wei, let me come with you. If you can stay in the village I can too. What if something happens to you?"

"Shao Lan, nothing will happen to me. Chief is here with me. I'll be safe. You return back to home, I will call you once in a while"

"When are you returning back..... permanently? He pressed the last word.

"I..uuhh....I...don't know.....let's not think about it for now"

Shao Lan looks at Wei with hurt in his eyes. He looks away and sighs "Fine, return safely. Mr Zhao, please take care of Wei for me"

"I will.." replied Yunlan nonchalantly.

As they part ways, Wei was looking out the window of the jeep. Yunlan glanced at him and still could see his hands shaking. Yunlan held Wei's hand in a tight grip. The sudden touch startled Wei.

"Chief?"

"Are you cold?"

"No. Why?"

"You are shaking"

"Ahh...uhmm..that..."

"Don't worry, I won't let them hurt you again"

Wei looks down with a small smile on his face "Thank you for saving me chief. I don't know what would have happened to me if you did not come in time"

"Don't say that, nothing will happen to you. I will protect you"

"Hmm....those buyers did not look like normal businessmen. If they could fight like that with weapons"

"I have had doubts on them. I was investigating about them. But have not received any kind of proofs yet. Today their action proved otherwise. I need to warn the villagers to not mingle with them again".

Again there was silence between them until they reached the village and to Wei's hut. They both get down the jeep and Yunlan follows him until Wei is inside the hut.

"Don't worry and sleep. We will talk about this tomorrow" Yunlan says and was about to leave when Wei holds his hand.

"Uhmm...chief...?"

"Yes?" Yunlan could see Wei was hesitating to ask something.

"Can you...umm...can you stay with me for the night?......." when he does not receive reply from Yunlan "Ahh...you must not be comfortable. It's okay, I can understand"

Wei was babbling and let's go off Yunlan's hand when Yunlan in return holds Wei's hand. "Sure...I can stay for the night"

Wei was startled but invites Yunlan inside. "Uhhh....welcome to my humble abode. It's not much but..."

"Teacher, I have been to your hut before. You do not have to deal with such courtesies"

"Yes, Yes,  .....uhh hahaha...." Wei was laughing nervously.

"Oh my god! Oh my god! Yunlan is in my hut. We are sleeping together. I am so nervous"

Yunlan waves his hand in front of Wei's face as he finds him standing in a daze.

"Are you okay? Teacher?"

Wei snaps out of his dream..."ahh...yes yes, I am fine. You can call me Wei, no need for Teacher part"

"Then you call me Yunlan"

"Okay!"

"Shall we sleep then?"
