| riki, overwhelmed by the realization of what he had earlier done, felt a knot forming in his stomach. he had let his jealousy and frustration consume him, and he had hurt suki.

after a few moments of contemplation, the door clicked open and a nervous riki stepped into suki's room. he could see the hurt shining in her eyes as she looked at him. " suki, i ... i'm so sorry. i don't know what came over me. i had no right to say those things. i- "

" what's going on, riki ? " he winced as she interrupted him, voice ringing through the room. her voice was a mix of confusion and disappointment. " why are you suddenly acting like this ? and why do you seem to not like harua as much ? "

he sighed, realizing he couldn't hide his true feelings anymore, not from her. " it's not about harua, it never was. it's about you, suki. i can't stand seeing you with someone else. i've been keeping this inside for too long, and it's eating me up. "

he watched as suki's eyes widened and she took a step back. " what ... what are you talking about, riks ? "

he hesitated for a moment, a swirl of emotions playing on his face. he took a deep breath, clenching his fist as tight as he could, " i like you, suki. more than just a friend. i've liked you for a while now, and seeing you with harua like that ... it hurt. "

suki stared at him, still unable to procees the sudden information. she watched with wide eyes as he revealed the bracelet he had been hiding. " i even got you this bracelet today, because i know you love them. it's even in your favorite color. " he placed it on her bed, almost resigned.

her eyes flickered between riki and the bracelet, and he could sense the weight of the moment. " riki, i ... " she started, her voice cracking. but before she could finish, riki held up his hand, of course, she didn't feel the same way.

"it's okay, suki. you don't have to say anything. i just needed you to know. you can keep the bracelet, i'll go back to my room. " she jumped off her bed in surprise as he stalked back to his room.

however, she stopped him just as he was shutting the door. " riki, wait. " his breathing almost stopped as he felt suki wrap her arms around him from behind. " i like you too, you know. i just ... i didn't expect this. "

he turned to look at her, his eyes searching for hers. " really ? "

a small smile tugged at her lips. " really. and you can't just leave after confessing to me. that's not fair. " she held out the bracelet, a silent invitation for him to put it on her.

as riki clasped the bracelet on her wrist, he leaned towards her. " so, am i your boyfriend now ? " he teased, eyes sparkling with hope. her cheeks flushed a bright red, as she giggled softly, " i guess you are. "

just as he inched closer to her, a cough rang through the room,  reaking the silence. sunoo, rubbing his sleepy eyes, turned the light on. " can you two do this somewhere else ? some of us are trying to sleep. " the two burst into laughter as sunoo grumbled in annoyance about teenagers and young love.
