"Akira I'll see you at lunch, ok? I have to meet with a friend who needs help with homework that's due today" Hinata's smile never wavers as she tells Akira of her plans to help someone who probably was only taking advantage of her. All Akira did was nod lazily; she could have mentioned the fact that maybe she wanted Hinata to walk her to class or told the pink-haired girl that she didn't always need to be as friendly as she was, but Hinata wouldn't have listened. Akira knew well that whenever Hinata got the chance she would have helped anyone in her path, putting others' needs in front of her own even if they had no intention of repaying her.

Akira admired her for that, but she also worried for her. People could easily exploit Hinata's kindness as easily as breathing in air, but Akira liked to think that that's why they were friends. She liked to imagine that while Hinata kept Akira company, Akira would be there to defend Hinata. That they met due to fate pulling them toward each other, the urge as a little girl to take taekwondo lessons was because she knew one day, she would have to protect the people she loved.

Akira made her way through the halls with her head down staring at the different types of shoes that she passed. She counted the pairs of feet or identified each individual pattern that adorned the shoes to keep her mind distracted so she wouldn't think about the fact she was walking alone in the halls.

"Momma's Boy", the words were said with malice and a derogatory tone. The person obviously tried to belittle whomever they were talking to. Akira raised her head in curiosity and found herself in the front row of a fight.

There was someone with long black hair on top of another student ruthlessly punching their face. Akira couldn't see what genders they were, or who they were, all she knew was that if someone didn't stop the black-haired kid, then the person on the receiving end would need a doctor.

Akira looked around at the crowd watching as students cheered and recorded the fight. She knew that no one here would stop them, too busy enjoying watching someone being hurt. She thought of what Hinata would do, and the thought of the girl going in between the two fighters with no hesitation brought a determination into Akira that she's never felt before.

Before Akira could even think about what she was doing she was in front of the two fighting kids in seconds, pulling off the black-haired one.

"WHAT THE HELL WHATS YOU'RE PROBLEM" the scream right next to Akira's ear caused her to flinch back in surprise. She stared up at the black-haired male that she just pulled away from the fight with a blank expression.

He looked angry, no doubt about being interrupted. But she thought all of this was so childish and unnecessary. Before Akira could voice her opinions, a gruff bellowing voice ceased everyone's talking.

"What in the world is going on here" the principles voice was calm and collected.

"They were fighting sir" some random kid decided to snitch and pointed at all three of them. Akira's eyes widened; they didn't even mention that she wasn't part of this.

The principal's eyes followed where the student pointed, and his eyes hardened. It didn't help that Aikira's hand was still gripping the black-haired male's arm, and her grip only increased when she noticed where the principal was looking.

Akira was trying desperately to keep her thoughts grounded. The principal was definitely going to call her brother, and she didn't want him to worry about her more than he already does.

"All three of you will be coming to my office" before Akira knew it the principal was standing over them with a cold stare. He walked forward knowing that the students involved would follow.

"Hey, can you let go of me now" a male's voice brought Akira out of her thoughts, and she realized it was the black male speaking to her. She quickly let go of his arm and turned to look at the ground, so her hair was covering her face.

She quickly walked forward so she could follow the principal to his office, fidgeting with her hands and focusing on the ground.

"You have a pretty strong grip" Akira flinched at the voice of the black-haired male, still looking at the ground she glanced to the side seeing he was walking beside her. She tried her best to ignore him, blaming him for having to go to the principal's office in the first place even though she was the one who intervened in the fight.

"You're really quiet you know, my name's Baji, what's yours? I don't think I've ever seen you around. Are you new?" His questions seemed never-ending, and all Akira did was stare at the floor.

When the two students finally made it to the principal's office the boy that was fighting Baji was coming out. Apparently, they were so far behind that the boy and the principal had already spoken.

"After you m'lady" Baji opened the door and did a small bow, with a teasing grin on his face.

Akira couldn't help but roll her eyes at his antics. The small blush that adorned her pale skin revealed her true feelings.

"Took you two long enough, please have a seat"

The office was small, with two wooden desks connected to make one with a bunch of paper on top. The principal sat behind them in a black desk chair and two red comfy chairs were right in front of him where Baji and Akira took a seat.

"Well Baji this isn't the first time you've been in my office, but Akira I am disappointed. I expect a lot from you, you are a great student"

Here comes the lecture, Akira thought. She could care less about what the principal thought of her. She knew the real story, and she also knew the principal didn't want to hear her explanation. So, this conversation was a waste of time.

Baji on the other hand couldn't help but feel disappointed. This was the 3rd time this month he's been in the principal's office, and his mom was already worrying about his grades.

"Well as punishment you both will have detention for a week. And since Baji has been failing his classes, and Akira is a model student, she will tutor you"

Baji didn't think he needed a tutor, I mean studying by himself wasn't working but he thought if he tried hard enough, he would be able to pass. Akira didn't really mind; the only problem was Akira wasn't a very talkative person. She doesn't know if she will be able to get along with Baji or tolerate him for lack of better words.

"Now that that's been settled, you guys are dismissed, get to class"

The two students both got up and headed out the door.

"So, you want to come to my place after school"
