Sakura accompanied Sasuke through his journey for almost five months. They were doing good at the start of It but lead to some bumpy toads like the encounter back at the prison of experiments. They went uncover for a mission of the leaf assigned by Kakashi. Sasuke as a prisoner and Sakura as doctor. It was well at the start but there were some dumps in between with one of prisoners.

The results ended in a battle that cost the whole entire building to collapse down along with Sakura in it. Sasuke freaked out in a panic to look for her through the rumble. That made him lose it. Almost gave up in humanity for good. He found her after digging for 30 minutes. They patched up, went to recover before finishing the mission. The mission was over, and it was time to report back to Kakashi. Days go by through their travels.

Sakura somehow thinks how she approaches everything back there without caution and thinking ahead of herself. But she has been in other tricky situations beforehand, and it resulted well for her. Why is she thinking about it? Yes, she had learned her lesson of getting carried away.

Sasuke was fine and all he cared about was her being safe. However, the last couple of days

Sasuke has been close to her and watching her every move making sure nothing bad happens to her. She will walk, tries to go on her own, eat, and sleep inches close to her. Sakura grew annoyed by this and is starting to get in the way of the journey. She must call him out before something else sets her off.

"Sasuke." She calls him "give me some space, would you?" She adds "It's nice of you to look out for me but in this case, I would appreciate some personal space and boundaries" Sasuke turns to her "I understand but from wh-" Sakura cuts him off "I know what happened back there." She stated to him "and what I did back there was not cautious." Sakura tries to keep her voice at medium and civil for not to yell or shout even if she wants to release all the frustrations at him.

"Sakura" he starts "I will keep it low and medium it for now not to be too clinch." Sakura nods

"Thank-" Sasuke raises his hand up "I'm not finish" he cuts her off "Once we get to the next town, we can discuss further into it." He fixes himself and stretches his arms out. "For now, let's get going before the storm comes." He tells her but Sakura was growing frustrated by him for not settling the matter here and now.

'What the hell!? I'm not like before! I'm tired of this shit!'

Sakura stopped her tracks as Sasuke was already further ahead of her "No! I want to discuss this now Sasuke!" her green eyes darken a bit from her upset expression. "I'm tired of being treated like a child even from the last couple of weeks". She continues "I understand the worry that I have caused back there but let's not let it affect us Sasuke please." Her voice pleads with concern in expressing how she feels about it to Sasuke.

Sasuke stood quiet for a moment processing everything but a flash back from his past started to cloud his mind. He felt his body get tense and stiff to shoulders rising. "Sakura." He speaks to her "I worry If I let you out of site, it'll happen again."

He finally says to Sakura "But I want to keep you safe and don't want to end up losing you-" Sakura already had enough that she can no longer keep her patience any longer.

"I'm not useless Sasuke! I'm very capable of handling myself thank you very much." Sakura stated to him keeping her grounds that Sasuke gets annoyed by this. He turns to her with his mixed-matched eyes looking towards her shiny green, emerald eyes.

"I just don't want to lose you like the rest of my clan plus you trust too much on the people around you so easily!" He tells her irritated already and wants to get to the village before the storm comes in on them. He would rather have this discussion there than here. Sakura was making it difficult for him. She shouldn't have come on this journey with him because of the dangers that had cost them. Sakura felt hurt inside but upset by his words.

"I trust people too easily?" puts her hands on her hips "And you go out of your way not thinking of a plan before letting it happen? Even letting your emotions take over sometimes!" she shouts at him "You know what? I'm done with this." Sasuke starts walking more ahead now that this is starting to get in his last nerves. "And I trained so hard to keep up with you and Naruto! I was sick of being left behind Sasuke!" she says while keeping her tears from slipping down from her face.

The waters of tears were building up second while trying to produce more words. "I was tired of being so useless..." Sasuke stopped his tracks as he heard her sniff then sob in tears "I can be careless on how many times I was called annoying by you." Sakura sobs through her words trying not to break down even more. Hearing this hurts Sasuke inside.

Yes, he can be an ass sometimes and has trouble expressing his emotions thanks to his trauma he had to endure for years. But he owns up to his actions and tries to fix it anyways possible. He lets his actions speak louder than his words. Sometimes he will use his words.

Right now, he must own up to it. He can't leave it like this. Not with her. It will haunt him for enteral. He doesn't like it when Sakura is in pain or hurt. It kills him inside to see that. He'll take it to his grave if he himself laid a finger on her. Sasuke is not like that and knows it. He knows where he stands. Not a coward.

Sasuke turns back walking back and pulls her into a hug wrapping his arms around her.

"I'm sorry for what I said." He wipes the tears off her face with his bandaged arm. "And what I did." Sasuke looks away for a moment. "All I wanted was to keep you safe and prevent what had happened back there." He adds "I did not do it right instead I was being ignorant with myself and letting my past experience get the best of me." Sakura looks up at Sasuke "You should've told me that instead of being so selfish and ignorant." Playfully punches him on the chest but winced a little. "Hey! Not too hard." He rubs his chest a little "Hey! I didn't hit you that hard." Sakura smiles which Sasuke was teasing her a bit.

Then the sound of rumbling clouds echo from a far that signals that the storm is approaching sooner than expected.

"Oh, shit the storm!" Sakura panicked a little as they raced to the next village right on time for the storm to hit. They were so distracted with their argument that it needed to be discussed. Sakura couldn't take it anymore of being watched like a child by Sasuke. This wasn't right. There are other ways to settle this and to communicate with each other in anything. Sakura was not careful enough that it almost cost her life that it brought an awful memory to Sasuke about his past in the thought of losing Sakura for good. Just like his entire clan. He cannot let that happen. Not in his watch ever! Nobody closes to him will suffer like he did.

Due to the impact of his past to almost losing the love of his life Sakura made him feel cornered in his upper rising of emotions and memories. He felt so lost that it took him over to the point of arguing and shouting at Sakura. He is sorry. Still has a lot of work to do on himself and is willing to put his pride in the line to fix things with Sakura. Who he dearly loves very much more than anything else?

They were in the Inn all cozy up from a hot shower after being soaked by the rain. There in comfortable clothing sitting by the window having tea while watching the rain. Sasuke in a dark blue long sleeve shirt with grey sweatpants as Sakura in a light pink long sleeve shirt in red sweatpants with white slippers to keep the feet warm. Sakura relaxes in Sasuke's embrace with her eyes closed.

"Tired?" Sakura nods while snuggling in place.

"Rest."

He kissed her forehead then lowered down to place a gentle kiss on her lips causing her to blush in her sleep. Sasuke smirks proudly while sipping on his tea enjoying the view of the rain. The couple stayed in their spot for a few long moments.

Sasuke has a lot to work on and he has always admired Sakura's strength from the very beginning. Yes, at times he did find her useless, but she did the best she could in her efforts. Strength and effort. He liked that of her. Now she is extraordinarily strong and smart from training with the top medical ninja legendary Sunin Lady Tsuande. Sakura scored herself big time.

She has shine out of her shell. She is no longer useless.
