Your POV

Hi there, my name is (Y/N) (L/N), and for as long as I can remember, my parents have always had high expectations of me, and well... I could see why they do.

When it comes to school, I always make sure to take my studies seriously and I manage to stay at the top of my class. My classmates would always come to me to help improve their grades. I don't blame them for doing so. No one wants to fail, right?

Outside of school, I would always come home and take piano lessons. My parents thought it was a good idea to have me learn it, even though I never wanted to do anything with it. What I really want to do more than anything is to become an artist. Whenever I find the time, I would always find a way to draw in my room without getting caught by my parents.

One day, I caught wind that an artist festival was going to take part in the shopping district over the week. It's where people put their art on display for people to see, regardless if you're famous or not. My goal is to take part in the event myself, but... that was easier said than done, considering my parents. But I had to at least try.

"Hey son, are you focus on studies?" My mother asked as she walked into my room.

"Yes, mother. I'm almost done, too." I said as I was looking at my school work, and not making eye contact with my own mother.

"And once your done, come to the dining room to eat your dinner, and I want you to practice the piano for the last few hours before you go yo bed." She said.

I let out a small sigh when I heard that.

"Yes mother."

"Also, can I ask you something mother?"

"Yes, what is it?"

I did my best to say it. I wanted to ask "Can I go check out the artist festival?" But in the end, I couldn't.

"Nevermind, I'll just continue doing my homework." I said.

"Whatever you say."

She walked out of my bedroom and I looked sadly at my homework as I continue to finish it. What was wrong with me? Why couldn't I say it? I don't think I'll ever know the answer to that.

The next day...

Location - Station Entrance

Let me tell you a little bit about the school I go to. It's a co-ed high school that spends most of their time focusing on preparing students for college. As I mentioned before, I've been the top student at school, and I help the failing students out of kindness. But because of this, I don't have any friends, and according to my parents, friends are a waste of time.

Oh well, at least I am interacting with the other students, which is what I was hoping for, but because of that, I got out of school later than I planned, and now, I am running down the block, trying to get home.

"Oh god! Oh no! Oh geez! Oh snap!" I said while running down the block.

As I continued running down the block, I accidentally bumped into someone, who wasn't completely aware of their surroundings. We both fell to the ground, and I felt guilty.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" I said. "Are you okay?"

"Y-Yeah, I think so." She said and we made eye contact with each other.

The one I bumped into was a girl with long black hair with slanted violent eyes. I have a feeling that I have seen her somewhere before, but I can't remember where.

"I'm so sorry for bumping into you like that." I said, apologizing again.

"It's okay..." She said as she stood back up. It sounds like she is the shy type.

I got up as well, but that's when the girl bowed to me and said...

"Please excuse me."

And just like that, she ran off. Who was that girl? And why do I have this feeling that I have know her somewhere?

"Ah! That's right! I need to get home before my mother and father get upset with me!" I said to myself in a panic and started running off.
