Summary: Logan fights Barron.
Some background info: (this happens right after Ep. 42 of sbg so read that before reading this. Ty! Also I know some of my stories don't match up with the timeline so sorry.)Ashlyns POV:
I peek around the brick wall and see things between Barron and Logan escalate. Logan has Barron on the floor and is pinning him down by sitting atop him and grabbing his head and arms. He says something and before I can process what's going on Ben runs over. Taylor follows him.
"Ben WAIT!" She yells. Everyone else follows but me and Aiden.
"It's showtime." He says, grabbing my arm rather gently and pulling me out from behind the wall.
Ben pushes, punts, kicks, slaps, and tackles these people. Then someone comes up behind me and kicks me square in the back.
I'm winded and my headphones fly off. My ears sting and buzz. I fall over, continuously getting kicked. My eyes well up with tears and my head throbs. Meanwhile Ben, Aiden, Taylor, Tyler, and Logan beat the shit out of their opponents.
The fight ends minutes later and Barrons friends end up running away.
I was up against a wall laying- or- sitting? On the ground. I groan in pain. Aiden runs over to me.
"Ash- how- What happened?!?!?" He asks frantically. My breathing is shaky but I'm able to speak clearly enough for Aiden to understand.
"I.. I fell and-" Aiden places his hand on my face where a cut is. I wince. He moves his hand slightly. Salty tears flow down my face like little rivers. "Well- well once I fell they started kicking me and I couldn't get back up." I finish. Aiden gently wipes my tears off my cheeks with the knuckle of his pointer finger. The rest of the group swarms around me looking at me.
"Hey, I'll call your dad and get him to pick us up. Kay?" She talks softly and quietly, handing my headphones back. I nod. She does so whilst I put on the headphones again.
My dad arrives and Aiden puts his hand under my arms and tries to walk me to the car. I can't stand well and my legs are shaking so I allmost fall. Luckily for me, Aiden catches me and lowers me to the ground so I don't get hurt.
"Would it be okay if I carried you?" Aiden asks, looking at me with a concerned face. I nod. He puts his arms under my knees and under my arms and lifts me up with ease. He carries me to the car and places me in the very back, he then sits directly next to me.
"Uhm..." mike starts. "Did y'all have fun?..." he asks hesitantly, knowing by our injuries, we most likely didn't.
"Yeah, lots." Tyler responds sarcastically. Taylor elbows him in the waist area for being rude and he flinches.
"Ty!" She exclaims, annoyed at her twin.Aidens POV:
I'd tried hiding Ash from Mike because obviously she's his daughter and she has the worst injuries of us all so he might get mad at us or something. When I carried her out of the car he saw her. I felt guilt wash over me. If I hadn't been so concerned for myself, I'd I had payed attention to Ashlyn maybe she wouldn't be in such bad shape right now.
"What's up with you, trooper?" Mike asks Ash. She shrugs, tiredly. He gives a suspicious look to me but doesn't say anything to me or any of the rest of us. We walk inside and go straight to her room so her mom doesn't see, and luckily for us, it works. When we get in her room I sit her down on her bed and sit myself next to her.
"Ash, are you okay?"
"I- uh... yes." She stutters. I sigh.
"I mean really." Ben starts patching her up. She winces.
"Yes. I'm positive." She says, more stern this time.
"I don't believe you" I admit. She chuckles, it sounds fake but it's cute anyway.
She lays her head on my shoulder and nuzzles her face into my neck a bit.
I gently put my arms around her waist, as not to furtherly hurt any bruises or scratches she might have.*time skip, 11:30-ish everyone but Ashlyn + Aiden are asleep*
Ashlyns POV:
I'm having trouble sleeping. I'm lost in thought until I hear a yawn.
"Aiden?" I whisper. I feel his arms around me tighten slightly.
"Yes, love?" His voice is a familiar sound, low and soothing, much unlike his personality. His choice of words interested me, but I didn't question him, he sounded so confident and sure of himself. He's admirable for that.
"Hi." I say tiredly.
"Hi." I can hear the smile in his voice while he says this. I giggle a bit at his awkwardness. Butterflies swarm in my stomach and my face flushes a bit. "That all you wanted my attention for?" He asks, chuckling. Gosh, I could replay his laugh in my head all day and still find it charming.
"I don't know." I answer, my voice muffled a bit.
He pulls me closer, my face still is his in-between-shoulder-and-neck-crevasse. Then I feel him almost- like- flinch- Like he had a sudden realization.
"Are you— good?" He asks, pushing me back a little by my shoulders.
"Huh?" I hum in confusion.
"Am I pushing any boundaries?" He sounds a little panicked. Like he was worried of overwhelming me or making me uncomfortable. I wasn't overwhelmed or uncomfortable though, in fact, him remembering that he's kinda a boundary pusher and making sure I was comfortable made me feel the even more comfortable with him.
"No. You're not pushing any boundaries, but thanks for... remembering I guess." I tell him, returning to my original spot.
"Can I- like-" he stutters, I know what he's asking and I nod. He gives me a peck on the nose, and then one on the lips.
"Goodnight." He says, inches away from my face, smiling.
"Goodnight," I respond, trying to keep my composure and not laugh, knowing what I'm about to say.
"-love." I finish, giggling a little.
