Hinata opened his mouth, trying to speak, but unfortunately, he found himself unnable to utter a single sound.
He really want to speak, but seems like mermaids cannot communicate. Suddenly, he felt his ears perked up, some wave of signals floated invisibly.
"I really want to speak." he heard his own voice being transmitted in the air with the invisible signal.
He have heard that dolphins can communicate through brain signals. So is that how he will communicate from now on?
This two's language seemed to be not so different from where came from. Also...
He stared at Tsukishima.
What the heck is this bitch doing here!?
Is this an alternate universe?
Then...
He raised his hand, his nails clawed the glass separating them while glaring at Tsukishima.
"Bitch! Remember when you used to call me shrimp!? Come here and see how I claw that damned face of yours!"
He screamed at the top of his... Brain waves, hoping the two will understand.
Unfortunately they cannot. Humans had tried learning the language of the marines long time ago but always fails.
Both of them are bewildered. Shock by the sudden hostility of the mermaid.
Akaashi faked cough. "He seems... To see you as a prey? Is he hungry?"
Tsukishima stiffened. He had seen lots of books with gory illustrations on how siren feasts on humans. Is it going to happen to him too?
He raised his slightly shaking hands and fixed his glasses. "N- No way. He had just eaten a while ago."
Hinata is still mad that he took a random fish that is dumbly swiming around him and threw it at the glass.
It created a bloody sight, the impact of the fish on the glass caused it's blood to smear all around. The fish is still alive though, it twitches on the ground for a few second before it finally died.
Tsukishima took a deep breath. As if trying to feel if he can still beath. "L— let's feed him." he can literally see himself as that dead fish.
Both seems shaken by the action of the mermaid. They hastily opened the fridge at the side, taking few pieces of raw whale meat — the only food mermaids and siren eats mutually.
They are still not sure what this half mermaid and half siren can eat. Mermaids usually eats small prey such as fishes, shrimps and clams while siren eats... Well the compete opposite. They are known to hunt foods bigger than them, they are very prideful, so the bigger the food, the better. They also uses this to impress their spouse.
Examples are... Humans, whales, sharks, lionfish etc.
Satisfied by the way they cowers, Hinata humped in a prideful manner.
He was haughty until they brought a tray with he don't know what kind of meat are those.
Hinata hates it.
He glared at them. "Aren't I a siren!? You're giving me dead foods?"
Don't they read those very good novels about Sirens!? They hunt food like real hunters! They are very dangerous!
Hinata wants to be cool like that! This uncultured swines don't know anything about being cool!
He saw the two of them open a window (?) at the wall and closed it, there's some weird sounds until a wall at the side of the aquarium opened, the tray made a thump sound as it arrive on the floor with weird jelly looking meat (?)
Well, he ain't sure if it's really a meat.
He kept staring at it. Should he just eat it? Raw?
He's a mermaid now anyways... So...
He swam to its side and pick up one piece of it. It's as big as his hand no, even bigger.
It smells like... fishy but not unpleasant, it's like so so. He took a bite.
Taste like... Rice porridge with chicken.
He glanced at the two.
When he saw them staring at him, he spit the food and threw it on the glass, making them flinch.
The he continued eating.

"A half mermaid and half siren?" Ushijima sat in an office chair. He stare at the hologram of the details about the mermaid/siren.
"Yeah. I just got a news from Tsukki, seems like this half half is have an instinct of a siren." Tendou said while sitting uncaringly at the sofa.
"This... Then why aren't they putting it back to the ocean? Sirens are not similar to mermaids. They are way stronger, way more dangerous and fatal. Also, they are known to hunt human as one of their prey." Goshiki said worriedly while standing in front of the office table.
Ushijima sighed. "Have you forgotten. Mermaids and siren cannot coexist. The sirens are hostile towards the mermaids. This one is a half of both, if he is to come to the ocean, where will he go? To the sirens? Or to the mermaids? We cannot be careless to let him back without considerations."
Tendou nodded. "Ushi is right, plus, Akaashi sent me a photo of that half half and let me tell you! He's adorable! His eyes are so cute! Like a cat!" he said in a dreamy tone.
"That adorable cat can claw you dead." Ushijima said nonchalant.
Tendou pouts. "No fun, Ushi."
