Chapter 3

I wake up with a ray of sunshine on my face. I sware I wake up like I'm in a movie every morning here. As usual, the Harris family is already up and awake, they always make me feel like a slug honestly. How do they get up so early? I get myself ready and walk down the hall to join them for breakfast. I walk in and it seems that I truly am the last person to wake up. Everyone is already at the dining table and ready to eat.

I walk in and John is the first to greet me "We thought you were going to sleep into the next day" John says not wasting time cracking his jokes.

I snicker and say " Good morning everyone"

" Goodmorning darling, don't listen to him, I'm glad you had a good rest," Luc says

I walk up to the empty seat next to Arlo and sit down, I smile at him and he nods in response. Well, he didn't say anything but at least it's progress. We have breakfast and we talk about what everyone's plans for the day are, Luc is going to work and so is John, unsurprisingly Arlo is going surfing. We finish eating and everyone goes their separate ways. I go to my room take a shower and get dressed, as I'm walking down the hall back to the kitchen I almost run into the kitchen at what I'm hearing.

" Sex with me is so amazing Sex with me is so amazing"

I know Cove is not singing that song, who else could it be she's the only other person in this house other than me. I sped walk my way into the kitchen and best believe it is cove singing sex with me by Rihanna.

" Um Cove, not to be that person but you sure this is the right song choice, aren't you like 12," I say extremely concerned

" Actually I'm 11," she says not helping her case, she does, however, pause the song, thankfully.

" It's just you and me today, are you excited?" Cove says

" Of course, I can't wait to see what you have planned for us to do" I walk over and sit down on the bar stool.

" Actually I need your help preparing some snacks for us today, I have a little adventure planned for us," she says as she walks around the kitchen gathering ingredients.

I get up from my chair and walk over and stand next to her " Yes chef" I say. She smiles and doesn't waste time giving me demands, we make some avocado, cheese and salmon sandwiches, some fruit salad and grab some drinks from the fridge. Once we're finished preparing our adventure snacks I put them all in the esky.

" Oh before we leave wear some converse or something we're gonna be doing a lot of walking, also bring bathers," Cove says as she looks down at my birkens.

I start walking over to my room when cove yells out "Oh could you please grab a speaker too"

I smile and walk to my room and change my shoes and I quickly grab my disposable camera. Wouldn't want to damage my real camera, I walk into the bathroom and into Arlo's room and grab a speaker on his bedside table. Hope he doesn't mind us borrowing this. I walk to the front door and close it behind me. Cove leads the way to the tree's behind her house. We walk and make small talk as I wonder where she's taking me. Oh god is this the part where I get murdered by an 11-year-old? Don't be ridiculous Rue.

Cove starts talking breaking the insane thoughts I was having.

" Ar and I used to come here a lot, I remember he'd always take me here when I was younger"

" Is that so?" I ask

" Yeah it was really fun and we'd spend hours hanging out," she says with so much excitement in her voice.

" You guys must be super close then," I say, but really it's a question

" Well yeah I guess, but we used to be way closer. I don't know, once he went to high school we weren't as close. He started spending all his time with his piss head mates"
