Chapter 5

I wake up in a pretty bad mood after last night. I force myself to get up and get ready. I try my best not to cry as I take a shower, all these old emotions I had about Jack come back to the surface. I get ready and wear a purple bikini under my outfit, I might be sad but that don't mean I can't look hot. I take a picture of my outfit and send it to my mum and let her know of the little family outing we're having today. She doesn't reply instantly since she's at work. I walk into the kitchen grab a bite to eat and go outside to the car. When I get to the car I say hi to everyone, suprise suprise they were all ready before me.

As I get into the car I hear Luc saying to Arlo outside the car that he will not be surfing today and she reminds him that today if a family day. Meaning he has to spend time with his family. I didn't need to see Arlos face to know that he was pissed about that. Cove sits in between us and John drives us to the beach, we go to the one thats about 10 munites away.

We arrive and we grab our stuff and walk to the beach, we find a little spot and put our things down. Arlo pracitally sprints into the water to get away from the rest of us. Cove and I grab some of the buckets we brought and start making sand catles together. John and Luc sit comfotably together on their little chairs, Luc is reading a book and John is cathing up on some of that sleep he lost since he's always waking up earlier that everyone to prove something. We make about three diffrent sand castles until Cove gets bored.

" Okay can we go for a swim now" She asks taking her t-shirt off. 

" Yeah okay" I say taking off my clothes as well. We walk over to the water hand in hand until we spot Arlo. We walk in and swim over to him. As I'm walking over to Arlo I can feel him staring at my purple bikin, for a second we make eye contact and I get butterflies. Oh my god. He tied to play it off but I've already noticed. We swim closer to him and we all start splashing water at each other and swim around for a bit until Cove decides to leave. I don't know if she leaves because she's actually tried or if she know what shes doing. Now it's just Arlo and I. For a little while we keep splashing water at each other but then we stop and just stand near each other.

Untill I say " Does it suck not getting to surf today?"

" I mean its okay, but who says I won't?" he says looking around

" Um, your mum" I reply

" My mum doesn't know or need to know my every move, I'll find a way" he smiles

I laugh and he splashes me with water then we starts walking back to everyone else. I push him and he pushes me back but I fall into the water and he runs away laughing. Like a genuine laugh. We get back to our little spot and Luc and John had bought fish and chips, they go for a walk and leave us three to eat, I sit down next to Arlo and dig in. As we're eating a segal comes to us and Arlo throws it a chip, I look at him giving him mad side eye. He picks up another chip.

Just as his about to throw it I warn him " Don't do that, you should know once you feed one of those bin chickens you have to feed the whole group"

" Yeah but there's only one" he says throwing the chip in his hand.

" For now" I warn him again

He doesn't listen and keeps feeding them and eventually the whole group swams over to us and fly into the food.

" ARLO. I told you" I yell as we all jump up

For some reason Arlo finds this amusing, and is laughing his ass off. He manages to get the birds away after throwing the rest of the food away for them to follow. Luc and John come back and we pack up and get ready to go back home. When we get home I take a shower trying to get this sand out of my ass and hair. We have a small dinner and all get ready to go to bed.

I'm in my bed on my phone when Arlo comes in and stands at the door.

" Hey tomorrow do you mind helping me take some pictures and recording me as I surf?" he asks

" Yeah I'm down" I say

" Okay I'Il wake you up" He says leaving the room.

Just as he leaves Talia facetime calls me, I immediately pick up.

"Okay is he hot?" she asks

" Yes he is, very" I answer

" Is he a dick?"

" Not really" I say

" Okay good, now tell me all the tea, what's been happing? Has anything happened? Tell me everything."

" Alright so the family is absoultly great, such cool people, Cove his little sister is an absolute legend, the town is nice and cute. Arlo surfs like a lot, I don't know what I expected. I'm yet to go out and see some hot local boys. And nothing has happened." I update her 

" Okay loving that, tell me if anything happens."

" Oh well something did happen yesterday" I hesitantly say

" Oh my god did you two kiss?" Talia practically screams.

" No actually it wasn't good. Um Jack texted me saying he wanted to talk, he even went to my house. Also it's only been a few days, I wouldn't move that fast " I tell her

" He did what? OH god what does that ass want from you? Has he not done enough? I'm gussing, well hoping you didn't give him the time of day." she asks

" Nah I didn't I told him to leave me alone" I reasure her.

Talia and I talk some more and she tells me about her holiday and what's been going on, she tells me about all the guys she's hocked up with and what she plans to do for the rest of the holiday. We talk for about an hour until my riplies start to become tired hums of response.
