Time seemed to stand still at his adopted sons reveal and Hisashi was worried that they would react badly to the news. For several moments, not a single sound was heard other then breathing and Nana's eyes had grown wide in shock. Either he was about to be praised for taking in Tomura when no one else would or he was about to be murdered by Nana and All Might.

Eventually Nana just wrapped Tomura up in a hug and fell to her knees, soft barely noticable sobs escaping from the woman. Hisashi said knowing this was going to be rough for Tomura and Nana, but it was for the best. This kind of secret could fester if left untold, he didn't want to make things any worse for himself then he absolutely had to.

Tomura clung to Nana's Hero costume, if Hisashi had been as petty as he was when he locked Yoichi away, he would have been jealous. Now however, he understood that the boy had never really hated his grandmother, it was more Heroes in general that the teen had a dislike of.

"Why did you adopt him?" All Might asked eventually, breaking Hisashi out of his thoughts and he turned to the Number One Hero with a sad smile.

"If you think I took them in to manipulate them, then your wrong." Hisashi stated simply, giving look towards Tomura and sighing." I didn't even know Tomura was a Shimura, he refused to tell me his name until the day after I came in to meet Izuku. I had just seen a small boy that reminded me of Yoichi, so I ended up taking them in. I wanted to make up for what I had done to my little brother, especially considering no Heroes or civilians had stepped in to help him."

Yoichi gave him a small smile, their eyes still guarded though.

"That was kind of you, brother." Yoichi stated and Hisashi scoffed, turning his head away from his little brother in embarrassment. He wasn't kind, he was a monster and regardless of whether he was retired or not, he would always be one.

"I am not kind, brother." Hisashi stated firmly." I am just tired and I have many regrets."

His brother's green eyes closed for a moment, before opening and they gave him a small but sad nod. Hisashi knew that his brother wouldn't attempt to argue the point, but part of him wished they would. It was a selfish with, but one he couldn't help but think about and he'd been thinking it for a while.

Nana eventually stopped the hug, turning towards Hisashi with a conflicted expression on her face. However he was unsettled by the gratitude that was also inside her eyes, he certainly didn't deserve the woman being grateful for him.

"Thank you, I don't like you and I probably won't ever truly forgive you....but thank you for taking care of my Grandson." Nana said and Hisashi closed his eyes, wishing the woman wouldn't have said that.

"It was nothing." Hisashi muttered under his breath, refusing to meet the Seventh user of One For All's eyes." I've never been one to intentionally hurt children, not even at my worst times. I have done many evils, but hurting children intentionally has not been on of them."

Nana gave a searching look, before giving a sharp nod and retreating a bit to talk with Tenko about their early life. Hisashi watched his eldest son walk away, a part of him worried they would choose Nana over him. Sure he knew they didn't even know her, plus they knew she was a Hero and they didn't like Heroes.

However the fear of being abandoned made him worry, it wasn't a new worry either. Hisashi had always been possessive, he'd always had abandonment issues. It was part of the reason he had locked Yoichi up all those years ago, because he was worried about them. To worried, unhealthily worried about his brother to the point he ended up accidentally causing their death.
