(A/N: Im sorry that updating takes so long, Graduation from highschool and preparations for the national exams keep me a lil busy but hey, Im still updating it, just at a much slower rate)
It was a tuesday night on a rather sweltering day in the grey wasteland that was Nevada. The colours of darkgrey, black and a stark red at the horizon as the broken sun sets. Your shift should have been over by now but no, today you had no workshift, you were on the road to Nevada Central, a city north-east from Nexus City and the other Oasis in Nevada besides the walls of Nexus City. The city is quiet literally on the other side of the state so it was a rather long drive, not as long as driving to Las Vegas yet still pretty long, 6 hours and you were around 4 hours in.
Where were you? Oh right. Driving to that city to get some delivery for Phobos, god knows why he couldnt have sent someone else instead of you. After what you saw on Social Media about Nevada Central and its vampire infestation you...were unsure about driving there honestly but, you were paid so you had no right to refuse, this just counts as another workshift. At least its a day away from the city and the tower for once right? Besides it cannot possibly be THAT bad, afterall people live in that city, they can tell you how to avoid the vampires.
The god emperor gave you 3 days to get it and come back which is generous as you would have to get a hotel room, theres no way you can drive back in the same day afterall and hey, you even have time to explore the city a little, afterall this is the closest youve ever gotten to a vacation outside of Nexus City. You once had family in Nevada Central a long time ago, but that was before the vampire infestation and considering they havent contacted you in years, you doubted they were alive. hell if they were they are probably vampires, which is fine you guessed. Afterall you didnt have that close of a connection to them.
After another 2 grueling hours of driving and listening to the stale radio in the background you finally spotted the city in a near distance, high skyscrapers poking into the now pitchblack sky.
Getting into the city is 0 issue, they dont have such a high security level as Nexus City. Now what specifically were you looking out for again? Oh right, you had to look for some club and go into the backrooms of it, you should see someone in a tie and suit and they should give you some kinda package that appearantly was brittle so you had to be careful.

The city wasnt as infested as you expected. You thought that you would see vampires all around the city yet its suprisingly peaceful actually. You went to a hotel and booked a room, its important to first have a place to stay before you do anything in an unfamiliar place.
Now you had to admit that it was a rather pretty city, not as glamerous as Nexus City but it stood on its own independently from the rest of the state which was enough for you, you were the meaning not everything has to be all pushed up and expensive as long as it worked and served its purpose well enough.
Though the low amount of security and police forces worried you for a city that has vampires, you would make sure to lock your room when you went back to the hotel, 'Lets hope vampires work the same as in movies and need to ask permission to enter a room first', you thought to yourself as you drove away again. Get the package, then go screw around, afterall someone is waiting for you.

'Club Advent, must be it' You thought to youself quietly going to the doorstander which happens to be a g03lm, seems like Nexus models also go beyond the city, you cant say that you are suprised by that. when he asked for your invite you quietly flashed a red and black card with the nexus core logo near him, close so no one else saw it. "Im with the Nexus Core" You whispered, just loud enough that he could hear you over the music while the others behind you cant.
"Of course, here is your VIP pass" He tried to pass it off to other guests behind you as if you were a normal guest who simply paid more to get special access in the club.
This was fun actually, you felt like an undercover agent, honestly always was your childhood dream to become a special agent and now was the chance you guessed.
You sat down in the corner of the bar and waited for the bartender to get to you, again you flashed your card to which they told "Oh im sorry, we just ran out of that, would you give me a few minutes? I will get back to you shortly." You simply nodded and went on your phone, 2 more messaged

NexDP (10:23pm): Have you found the correct building?
NexDP (10:24pm): the Personell should acknowledge the Card, they should know what to do with you.
NexYN (11:10pm): I am finally in, it took a while to find the place and i didnt have signal until now, but im waiting for something right now, should get the package soon.
NexDP (11:12 pm): I knew I was correct to chose you to execute this.
NexYN (11:13 pm): I will take that as a compliment. Give me a minute, someone is walking towards me.

You looked up from your phone to see the bartender walk up to you with another doorstander, nodding towards you as the doorstander looked at you, that was your cue to follow.
You didnt say much, at all, you werent one to socialise much and you didnt think you even should on your mission.
Getting to the backrooms was easy enough, you heard the music still blaring behind the grey walls as you walked down stairs and were told to wait.
"Well well well, so we see eachother again" Oh you KNEW that voice...and you HATED it, with a heavy sigh you started to reply
"Crackpot, what are YOU doing here?" You questioned
"Ohh Y/N, is that a way to say hello to a friend~" he started with a smirk to his tone
"You havent answered my question." Your tone was aggrevated yet monotone
"Hmpf." Crackpot huffed out "Weeeeeeeeeell, I was here to speak with..a nice stranger, yet they already left after we struck a deal so I guessed why not stay around for a while."
"greeeeeeeeeat. well I am on a mission so if you could PLEASE leave me alone, or do you want the director to know you are running around in this city instead of working on your projects back in the science tower." you bit back, you didnt want to deal with his deranged ass.
"woah woah woah, Y/N, no reason to threaten me." Crackpot replied with a chuckle
"oh with you theres always a reason to threaten you. not go before i actually hold to my threat." You said
"Fiiiiiiiiiiiiine, jeez, someone has issues." the scientist replied annoyed as he got up groggily and left, probably because he noticed that he was at the disadvantage here.
Well at least you finally got your package, the Agent didnt say much besides that the package was brittle, as expected, so you had to be careful with it.

As you left the club with the package in hand you got back on your phone with Phobos, you had to let him know you had the package afterall or else he would probably get angry with you if you didnt. Justified you guessed, this seemed to be important.
